I live in metro ATL. They steal your garage door opener and your car registration with your home address on it and then go break into your home. Whenever, I go somewhere, I never leave my garage door opener in the vehicle anymore. This is not an inside job, this is what is happening to a lot of people down here.

High teenagers I work at hospital and they was in a car longer than that called the police bc it was no immediate threat and we get multiple break ins a night they didn’t show up til hours later these robbers know the cops better than us

I had my car stolen at a gas station back in 2015 in Maryland but on the border of DC. I felt so violated. I felt exposed. I had nightmares about it for about a month. It put me back financially because I was in nursing school at the time. It is really unfortunate. Hopefully she heals from this.

@@michelericca6728 I was able to finish my program thankfully. Yes I was pumping gas at the time. 2pm in the afternoon in June. The gas station was full so it was even more shocking when it did happen. I was filling up getting ready to go to work. I was driving an infinity sedan. The gas tank was on the passenger side and my windows were tinted. So when he climbed in my vehicle I didn’t see him. When I took the nozzle out and closed the tank he shifter the car into drive and drove off. I couldn’t tell you what he looked like. I thought I was dreaming. I wasn’t paying attention and wasn’t being careful so I have to take responsibility for my carelessness. I just try to be very careful now and always pay attention to my surroundings. People are very desperate.

More than likely was a set up (inside job)…because they went directly to her car & with surveillance, NO police were called. EVERYONE is responsible for allowing this to happen to her, and doing nothing.

This was the calmest robbery ever. I feel this was an inside job... someone who knows her steps, knows her location, knows how she moves. They moved wayyyyy to slow and way to calm like they knew they had time to gather her things, get what they needed and bounce. Somebody in her camp is riding dirty. Check your friends Tay Tay.... If you being violated as much as you say you are, its usually the closest to you that knows how your rolling mama...I'm sorry that happened to you like that. This looks like a targeted event, I'm sorry boo. No other cars were touched.

She shouldn't have to go through this however, my ex was in ATL for a wedding and his friend left his backpack in their rental car within minutes they broke in and took his bag. You CANNOT leave things in your car. especially expensive cars. You gotta clear it out, If someone breaks into mine they're gonna be disappointed.

It truly baffles me how few people understand fundamentals of personal safety such as not leaving valuables in your car. I can say the same as you: if someone breaks into my car, they will be sorely disappointed. Sure, fixing the damage would be a real pain for me, but at least I wouldn't have anything of value to replace.

@@485OCEAN nope....I don't go where ninjas roam. They don't be where I be. I made sure to move to an area where the % of ninjas is less than 1%🥰 I grew up in the hood...surrounded by them. As a Black woman, I knew my safety hinged up getting as far as away from them as humanly possible. If you gonna stay near them, get strapped...or move. I chose to move. Best decision 🖤

Atlantan here. I hear about mass car burglaries and home invasions all the time in and around the city, unfortunately. Thankfully, I live in a fairly secure building in a corridor that isn't much of a hot spot for crime (currently, at least), so I've been able to avoid falling victim to these crimes (*knocking on wood*).

You feel totally violated when something like that happens. Atlanta has gotten really bad, especially downtown and Midtown over the last 3-4 years. I have a friend in Dallas whose car has been broken into 4 times since July.

It is a horrible feeling that one doesn’t ever recover from. I tend to look over my shoulder till this day after having been robbed in our family home and gunpoint by two assailants who were eventually caught. It is my faith and trust in God that keeps and carry me. Seems many are responsible here. I live in a exclusive building downtown Atlanta, and I do have a ring camera on the front door of the Loft. And those things are replaceable but you don’t ever feel secure. Kempire, IT IS HORRIBLE. The car theft, care break-ins, homes being broken in to all with surveillance. I am now looking at other places out of the City. The signs are crystal clear and I don’t have to be told or shown any longer.

I see it day in and day out on the Ring Cam app, they all walk with backpacks to stash the items. Seems she had a ton of things and I feel in my spirit that these idiots will be fighting over who gets what and how much. This should make it all easy to solve.

I've been wondering about her mental health and well-being ever since she had that "end her existence" situation a few years ago and that old fiancee was so weird about it, then she stuck w/ him for a bit even after he seemed to not have her best interests. It just seemed like she really needed lots of therapy and not sure she got it...hope she has mental support through this

I feel for Tamar. I was robbed at gunpoint in DC back in 2008. Yes you can get material things again BUT the ptsd stays with you. It was more acute for me during the first two years but even now I have my moments of not feeling safe when outdoors.

I'm so sorry to hear about this robbery Tamar. You didn't deserve this. We're so thankful you're okay 👌. I was also robbed at gunpoint on September 12th, 2023 leaving my job in the parking lot while walking to my car. This person saw me walking and pulled up beside me and pointed a gun at me. He demanded my purse. I gave him my purse. Then he demanded my cell phone and he wanted me to get in his car. I immediately began to run in the opposite direction and called 911. I live in Texas. I don't feel safe either. I'm a newly hired Sales Associate but I'm not planning to stay with the company much longer. I'm happy I'm alive.

Thank God you’re OK and you had the thought to run because if you got in the car with him you may never gotten out!💔So God blessed you🙏🏼I’m glad you still have your life and your car and hopefully you can get some of the other things back make sure you file a police report and list everything that was stolen because in the future they do find a lot of the property that people steal and they can trace it back to you and Help charge this person with as many crimes as possible which is key so people like that are put away for a long time! She realizes that posting this on social lets the robbers know where she lives…Not everything is for social media.. Meaning…. It makes her open to be retargeted! They saw a Bentley full of things. And if it is a huge problem and random occurrence in ATL or if she doesn’t feel safe at hm because she is targeted.. Either way, why was her car full of things/at her hm where she says she feels unsafe?? Especially her remote control? No car lights blinking from an alarm? On a Bentley?? Why was the camera solely on her car and not on the entire garage? Im a little confused because it is contradictory to her post and the antithesis of how someone who felt tracked or unsafe would act or a locked car would be. Also all luxury cars have phone trackers that alert you if your car is opened. Ive been there and you dnt leave things in plain site even for a minute, especially things like a remote that could put you in more danger or identify you. You move smarter… Its awful either way but just weird. Something in the milk aint clean.

It is happening in and out of atlanta...if you live here you see these videos daily on the next door app. Insurance prices have sky rocketed and it's some have even dropped ppl if they have kias and Hyundais. What's happening is that we're in a recession the actor and writer strike is still going on so several businesses aren't doing well, and some people are still financially trying to recover from COVID. It's a sad time, everyone stay as safe as you can be. The holidays are coming and I fear theft will be at an all time high this year 😓

It’s not just in Atlanta. I live in NC and car thief’s have been up here. I thought it was everywhere. I’m just glad it’s not drive-by shootings, murders or house break-ins. I had my car stolen college and it does feel like a violation, but it could be worse.

My home was burglarized 13 times, I know how she feels, you never feel safe again. I’ve since moved to a new home, but I still don’t feel safe. I believe it was someone on my street, they waited for me to leave and would burglarized my home, most times it was in broad daylight. One occasion they climbed through the front upstairs window 😢

Yes, it is bad here in Atlanta, Ga. I moved here in 2007 and I have been robbes 4 times all in different areas. So yes you have to be careful here. And never leave any that's worth alot in your car. I had my car stolen, car broken into as well as home broken into. You feel violated after going through all that. I'm so sorry that happened to Tamar. No one deserves to have to go through that. We all work hard for what we have.

I had a close cousin that moved to Atlanta 12 years ago; 2 of her girls at the time in 9th and 11th grade, had to fight daily due to being Latina-Nubian ethnicity. It got so bad, that 3 moves to die homes and PFAs, didn't even help. Although both were capable of holding their own, the drama and chaos itself just wasn't worth it and she's been home for about 4 years. 8 years in Atlanta with continuous drama and 4 years of peace and mind back here at home.

Being that this is tamar, I have questions. Like, why isn't her alarm going off? Who is recording this video because this can't be a surveillance? Does surveillance have automatic zoom and why is the video pointed directly at her car instead of capturing the entire garage? The robbers. They seem very casual and not in a hurry. Wouldn't robbers move a lot faster to reduce their chances of getting caught? 🤔

She clearly left her keys in the car with the doors unlocked. She mentioned them stealing her car key. She must keep her keys in the car to just hop in and push the button. She must have felt safe in a locked garage. There are multiple cameras from every angle. This is the one in the direction of her car.

@tammybenaytv4631 how could she lock her car if she leaves her keys in the car? The video showed the camera zooming in and out. How does a surveillance camera zoom in and out? Zoom is a manual function. Meaning whoever is recording has to manually zoom the camera.

@@greeksun369 The Zooming was from a Camera phone recording the Surveillance Camera. Go and look again. And clearly here car was unlocked. How else they get in her car. I am thinking she felt safe enough to do that in her expensive building with all that security.

I live 15mins *outside of downtown Atlanta in Cobb county in almost $2K+ apts with some of the most expensive garage gates I’ve ever seen, even after living in Miami… even still, cars have been broken into and someone’s Mercedes truck was *stolen. I’ve never heard of someone’s car being stolen from a complex like this. To make matters worse, I have a suspicion the cops here are going light on the issue because this is a very easy tactic to get people to want that Cop City mess. In 2024 at the rate of these burglaries people will be begging them for it. Watch. It’s all a depressing situation.

Yes there are huge car thefts in atl. The past couple of years it's been horrible. My family member's car was stolen from a hotel by the airport just 2 months ago. (Kia's/hyundais). Stay away from those vehicles. Most of the robbers are teenagers. They steal your car to joy ride and commit crimes. Or they break in to your car to see what they could steal. my bff car was broken into a few months back one day while we were out. Be careful out here.🎉

I think it's a mess everywhere. I live in Texas, DFW area. My car was broken into at my residence last month. I've lived in the same apartment complex since 2016, and never had any issues or complaints. It is a total violation, and I still get pissed off when I think about it. Thankfully, I keep nothing of value in my car. I cannot stand a f'kn thief. I don't like firearms, but I'm definitely considering getting a license to carry. Thieves deserve whatever they get. Period.

Car theft is on the rise... No city is safe. A friend of mine had her car stolen, and it was recovered. Unfortunately someone was shot in her car while it was stolen. Bullet holes in the windshield and driver's window was blown out. 😢

Yes, this is so unfortunate. But very suspicious as well. Who breaks in a vehicle and takes that much time to do so. They appeared to lock the doors and trunk back so nonchalantly! There's more to the entire story!! But thankfully she's physically okay!

Sad thing is this is Atlanta. Car break-ins are so common. The best thing to do is leave nothing in the car and always leave the doors unlocked so they don't smash the windows

I hate that this happened to Tamar. I live in Atlanta and there are a lot of break ins, but it's like that everywhere.. We live in a time where you have to be careful and always mindful of your surroundings. Also everyone ain't ya friend! Some years back someone broke into my apartment and stole some of my sons video games, playstation, stole dam food out of my fridge and my hair wigs. I felt so violated and defeated. That was the last time I trusted anyone other than my close family members, coming to my house. Today my house is off limits to people. The best and safest thing y and u can do is try to go to a gated community (there are 1000"s) here. And ALWAYS be aware and careful.
