Tamar in Two Minutes 

Tamar is one of the unsung characters in the show. Everyone pays attention to Mary Magdalene, Matthew, Peter, etc. Thank you for doing this feature of her. Tamar provides the outsider perspective to the Jewish experience, and her interaction with Magadalene's character is very powerful.

Tamar is one of my favorite character..her faith and beautiful resolve after the horror she endured is a reminder of the strength we have in us as Christians when we rise above what life gives us and walk in faithful beauty.❤

This is so true in this modern time when Mary says "You don't know the pain of our people" so many people especially in today age only look to themselves and their own people history and think only they have issues or face struggle. But when you look through the eyes of God and see people just for that people who all suffer who all face struggle and loss you see all people for who they're and not just the elusion you made up in the woe is me to divide you from others.

Tamar is fantastic. A lady not shy about speaking her mind.

Outside of her character via interviews, I’m discovering that she’s a gem. She is an excellent addition to the show. I wouldn’t mind getting to her hear her sing a bit more too. 😁 Her and the disciples singing are one of my many favorite scenes.

I love Tamar’s character! I’m so glad they added a disciple that represents Gentiles (non Jews) to show that we are included in God’s plan of salvation. Amber Shana Williams is the perfect actress to portray this strong character. I admire her great passion, and I love how she seeks Jesus with importunity. And another thing- she doesn’t allow anyone to dim her light. We should all be like Tamar!

I'm now a member of the guild and I can watch and rewatch The Chosen as often as I wish. ❤. Thank you all for this show.

I love this scene with Tamar and Mary because it shows we all have something in our lives that makes us who we are. Just because we don't constantly talk about what we have experienced, doesn't mean we aren't holding in what hurts us. This scene is so powerful in showing how we judge others without knowing what the other has gone, or is going, through. This scene, and many others in The Chosen, should open a lot of peoples eyes to never assume someone is what you think they are. Thank you for giving us these short videos as they bring a lot forefront and they are impactful 🙏🕊🙌✝️💜🤍💜

Love that scene between Tamar and Mary Magdalene that shows their contrasting personalities; their strengths and weaknesses. Great character development, background and writing! Same with Gaius, played by Kirk BR Woller. The Chosen writing, acting and directing are all BRILLIANT, as well as every other aspect of this show! I believe that the main reason for the success of this series is that a Godly man (Dallas Jenkins) is in control of the series, and Hollywood executives are not.

“I judged your strength against my weakness.” Sometimes when people are miss judging you it’s because they are doing just that. John Bevere actually had a teaching on when humility looks like pride. Sometimes you can be confident in humbly sharing the truth, but to those who can’t relate it sounds like bragging, but it’s just reality misunderstood. A more simple way of stating that is to say. They are assuming you have their problems, even when you don’t. We have to be careful not to put our struggles on to others. Just because we can’t handle something, doesn’t mean they can’t handle something. “To the pure, all things are pure.”

Absolutely love Tamar's introduction into the fold through Jesus' interaction with her while on the road with other disciples. And fact that He spoke to Tamar in her language. I also appreciate her perspective. Because its a reminder that Jesus was coming across all kind of people from different walks of life. From roman soldiers to blind men on the road.

I had never heard of these two BEAUTIFUL ladies when the series started. I want them both at the resurrection. I know Mary of Magdala is part of that, yet what about Tamar? BTW: It's "roof", not "room" in your description. Thanks.

Let's remember that this is not biblical Tamar, but artistic interpretation of a gospel passage placing a different New Testament figure fictitiously into the story. It's a little deceiving to present this scene as presenting simply "Tamar."

Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the evil in this world, God is full of justice, mercy and love. Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die" - if we break one in thought/word/deed it's as if we're guilty of all of them. Quite simply, living by the law (which is doing everything perfectly) is impossible for sinful humans . The law shows us that 1. We will die in Hell if we fail to follow it and 2. We cannot save ourselves BUT, 3. God's perfect, immovable law points us to Christ, who followed and fulfilled the law in thought, word and deed perfectly in our place. He did what we couldn't and did it on our behalf. He was then sentenced to death on a cross, and took our personal punishment for our sin, paying our penalty (like paying our fine) completely FOR us, and has given us freedom. If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us into His image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. We cannot purify ourselves, but Christ lived that perfect sinless, pure life and then allotted it to our "account". That's where our righteousness comes from. Not from any good, works that you or I could do. It is not based on the amount of good works we do. God starts the changes, He carries it on, and He completes it in those who let Him. It's about letting Christ in to guide and teach you and obeying Him, again, through His power and instruction). He is our substitute in His life, death and resurrection. He essentially rewrote history in our place so that, if you believe in Him, it will be as if YOU had never sinned if you accept Christ's death as our own in our place. He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, forgiveness, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it. He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. Hes giving EVERYONE a chance, He wants everyone to take the free gift of salvation from Hell. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through His power and abiding (staying) with Him. So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to follow His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and let Him lead in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the ultimate victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, pray for Jesus to come in and He will do what we can't. Give us The Holy Spirit who will guide us in the right way. NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER If you have any questions let me know xx I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. If there is nothing new under the sun cycles can repeat. So let me know what you say on the matter. Jesus came teaching a new understanding and if there is nothing new under the sun and God does not change. Then the understanding Jesus was teaching was the same understanding moses got from God. So obviously that understanding had been lost over time. Enoch said he worte a book for a later generation and because God does not change Enoch had the same understanding as moses and jesus so if the church say Enoch is not holy inspired Scripture it is because they don't understand it. So obviously the teaching have been lost over time so we need to aline our understanding with Enochs book the holy spirit inspired him to write it for a later generation so lets not deny the holy spirit and study his writing's the books was lost to us we have it back now lets bring Christ's teachings back and follow God not men.

Tamar is great. I love her. But I’d like to know, when do we see all on the “small” screen, at home? I have no Theater around here. I feel kind of left behind. It’s NOT fair. Showing it to a bigger audience is ok, but couldn’t you show it simultaneously at the “Home Screen” for EVERYONE?

Tamar's necklace is clearly connected with ancestral worship as she previously explained that each crystal holds the spirit of one of her ancestors. Then when she had a sad story about it, Mary was perfectly fine with allowing her to keep it while also following Jesus. The Bible very strongly condemns ancestral worship, and I'm very disappointed in The Chosen for showcasing that you can still follow Jesus while holding on to pagan practices. And for your information, Mormons admit that they engage in ancestral worship. Look it up. No Mormon influence whatsoever??🤔

I’m probably the only one here, and I apologize in advance for those who will be offended, but I genuinely dislike Tamar’s character. And I absolutely agree with Mary. She is very entitled and loud. Exactly the opposite of 1 Peter 3: 4 woman. Probably the only character that I would not miss if the writers ever decide to stop its course in the show. 🙄 She’s so annoying to me.

Does it bother anyone that Simon and Mary especially in this clip, sound like "Jesus came just for the Jews"....no he didn't....
