Beautiful man. Great work. I just purchased mine today and I’ll be starting my upgrades this weekend. Thanks for great ideas man... keep up the good work
Good job Tim, I love your set list! I do the same thing, but I try like hell to memorize it. On your fish-finder FYI they make an awesome suction cup mount that I've used for years. It's great. On your scuppers, I found those plastic golf balls tear easy, especially when you have to remove them. Great video though, A+ effort. Thanks, mate! Fish on! P.S. theres a great mod you can do to that Frabill bait tank. It might not matter as much in freshwater, but I take mine in the ocean. I'm in development on a new bait tank. 5 gallon. It is epic!
I have mine set up similar to this. When I first put the seat in there it was to straight up and down so I removed the lil rubber stoppers that the base of the back rest hits when fully open. It allows the seat to lean back just enough to make it more comfortable. 👍
Cool video. I'm 40 just bought my first yak last saturday. Put a anchor cleat and milk crate on today. I'm old school I just use a 50ft rope ties to a 5lb weight. I don't need no damn fancy anchor trolley etc.
Hey Marc, I ordered the Scotty transducer arm #141 and the Scotty universal sounder mount #368 Cascade tech mountain Stadium seat 17 inch hope this will help
That was a great video. I appreciate you making it. I want you to try and kayak fish for salmon and steelhead. Now that you gave me some really good ideas. I could probably even tie the fish to the boat for a Time after I catch them. Of course they'd be dead by then. Where are you putting your fish? Is it in the crate? Is it in the cooler? Or is that for your lunch?
You got yourself a nice little rig there mr. I’m thinking of buying that same kayak you got there if you don’t mind me asking... how stable is that there little kayak? I live out here in California by the bay and would like to try something like you got out here.
Hey Ed, I fish in local lakes, the water is pretty calm, I've never felt like I was in danger of flipping. If your in ocean waters, I would look something maybe a bit wider. But it's very easy to load and unload. I just put a trolling motor on it which has been a game changer. I just put a video out on that. Hope this helps
Hey brother nice boat I got me one too. I’m thinking of adding an outrigger so I can easily stand in it. Plus I live in Illinois so I ain’t trying to fall in in march or April lol. Have you tried standing in it?
What I do is put my basket, rods and cooler on it when I get to the lake, takes maybe 5 mins. It's really no problem putting in at all. Cooler weather I bring my rubber boots just to keep my feet dry.
I like the pipe clamps you put on the sides and back, just what I was looking for. What did you use for screws? Did you seal them? My paddle holder clamp came with two nice screws with rubber seals, sort of like a molly bolt. Haven’t been able to find them locally. Oh, the hand paddle is pretty cool also. Was thinking about something like that today as the wind would slowly turn me.
I pulled all the line out, then i cut it leaving maybe three inches, just enough to tie a sheet bend knot joining the paracord. Be sure to leave enough to tie too, also hold it while you cut it ,don't let it go. Hope this helped, thanks for watching
