Tamarind (Assam) Prawns
Tamarind or Assam Prawns is a Malaysian Peranakan dish that is so simple yet power packed with full flavours. It is also widely popular among Chinese celebrants. Best thing of all, it is ridiculously easy to prepare.
Recipe (serving 4-5)
500g fresh water prawns
1 tbs tamarind paste (marinate)
2 tbs tamarind paste (gravy)
2 tbs sugar
1 tbs soy sauce
1 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp cornstarch
