Vasary won a price at Chopin's competition. No surprise in Debussy's interpretation. Vasary is still alive (living in Budapest I believe, aged 90 or more)

Stunning from beginning to end - even with my mild questioning of the tempo of the minuet - maybe more in keeping with minuetto - but a fabulous colorist who never loses sight of the structure. I've always known the name but the playing is great find for me.
