Hey, I'm sorry to tell you this, but you have to keep in mind that the production of the material that Spotted Marten was dubbing has taken almost 8 years to get to this point, which means that the Chapter 5 comic will likely take around two years or more to complete. This is why the channel will dub a different comic called Supercell instead of Tamberlane for now.

So much secrecy about Abroad, Tamberlane having memory glitches, a mysterious figure saving her from the river……and most of all……an image of the Vitruvian man from an old book. Oakwood knows something! I think I’ve got a wild guess of what this world is about and what Abroad could be. But I’ll wait until more pieces are revealed.

When you look at it, I agree in what Jentzen has said. In order to avoid interest of Abroad, they have to learn about it and it's dangers. Also, it was pretty messed up of Callie to report him like that because she pretty much threw him under the bus.

But the government spins a tale about a “taint” that makes those who go there turn into monsters. Making everyone too afraid to go seeking out that place unless they have an emergency that needs advanced medical attention. Which leads me to believe they are HIDING something there. A secret so powerful that they need to banish anyone who is curious to seek it out. And it has something to do with Tamberlane and possibly the rest of humanity.

So was I initially. But with the pieces of the puzzle surfacing, I’ve had a wild theory on the nature of how this world came to be.

@@Billious So from what I can gather, this world these animal people inhabit is actually Earth in the future. And either human beings have been wiped out or we’ve mutated into animalistic anthropomorphic hybrids. Almost like a Planet of the Apes situation. Everything from the geography of the map from the start. To the Vitruvian Man in the old book points to this possibility. There’s no way this was an accident of evolution. It would explain why they have adopted human accents and languages and even cultural references. And the fact that normal animals are still non sentient. And Abroad has to be like this Area 51 place where all the secrets about the old world and advanced technology is kept. And the government spins this story that it’s tainted and forbidden. To spread fear in order to prevent anyone from seeking it out. Because they are hiding something there that they don’t want anyone to know about. And it has something to do with Tamberlane. If I were to guess she’s got to be some kind of experiment that was developed by a scientist at Abroad. Or perhaps they are keeping a human zoo there and she was picked out from the rest. And wasn’t abandoned in the woods. She was PUT there deliberately. To be discovered by Belfry. By whoever it was that saved her from the river. Why exactly? We don’t know yet. Anyways, that’s what I think determined on the little hints and clues here and there. But I guess we will find out for sure sooner or later.

@baraovermelho3956 People don't have to like it if this was done by a totalitarian government that had complete control over everything. I think this guy's onto something... here's my head canon: what if Abroad is a dystopian society filled with humans, and the government put nano chips into everyone's brains in order to keep them in line, preventing all manner of violent conflicts like war or murder. And like in any dictatorship, there's rebellion. I think Tamberlane's birth parents managed to escape from Abroad and left her in this place of anthropomorphic animals in order to save her from becoming a slave to their totalitarian government, but forgot that she still had a chip in her brain. And now, the chip has been activated because this is the first time she became violent. And considering that in real life, Elon Musk was playing around with the idea of people actually having A.I. chips implanted in their brains, this doesn't sound too far fetched. This would almost be like that scrapped plot element from Zootopia, where the predators had to wear special collars that gave them electric shocks if they became too emotional and act out of line. That's my idea anyway, this is such a good comic series. You know it's doing something right when it gets people to have discussions like this in the first place.

@@Lumberjack_king I mean, in the recent chapters, it shows that Parsley and his mother care for him, but he simply can’t return these feelings back because of his past. He just wants his original family to come back. But knowing where they are now, they aren’t. But yeah, Tam is liked because she is “special” while he was often just seen as “ordinary”. Also, Cur’s origin from Abroad probably caused a few to avoid him and leaving him be.

Class consciousness is the awareness of one’s place in a system of social class. Censorship is the suppression or prohibition of any parts on what’s exposed to the public like books, films, news, photos, videos, etc. that are considered obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security. Propaganda is information that is used to promote a political cause or point of view, especially if a biased or misleading nature. And of course everyone knows what’s a teacher, basically one who teaches, instructs and gives knowledge to their students and disciples. There is an amount of censorship and propagando regarding with “Abroad”. Cur or Ellis seems to have some degree of self awareness of class consciousness. I hope this satisfies your questions. 😊

I had always figured it had something to do with how she was treated before coming to Treehollow. Whether positively or negatively, she may have been reinforced at a very young age to not hurt others. I know we don't get much, so is the manner of one page a week updates, but that's what the flash of a computer screen at 1:08:19 seems to indicate to me. Or it could take from the real world. No child is born with hate in their heart; they have to learn in from somewhere, like Cur. Tamberlane may only be able to feel anger, even knowing it is towards or because of another individual, but not have what it takes to bring them harm.

Obviously abroad is a gulag of some kind. Considering everyone they send there they view as lessers or tainted but they are still expected to work for the greater good of everyone not in abroad.

@@thedemolitionmuniciple I see what you're saying, however Tamberlane has expressed obvious hints to *wanting* to hurt someone, but is actually physically incapable of doing so. She's basically incapable of bringing her fist down upon the boys even though she wants to so badly, and she physically can't push them even though she really really wants to. One could make the remark that she's just weak and that's why he laughs at her attempts, but I seriously doubt tamberlane wouldn't be able to push him over, he's literally skin and bone.

In this context, the word "Abroad" is being used as a noun as it is the actual name of a specific place. "Abroad" is a land close to Follybrook.

The amazing thing about the Folly Brook is that, although it flows across north London for over two miles, its valley is almost entirely un-built-up. What remains is mostly farmland, woodland and haymeadows, so that's lovely, although it's not always possible to walk alongside the river, especially in its upper course. The Folly Brook divides Totteridge from Mill Hill, its valley a gentle dip between the ridges to north and south. It rises near the foot of Holcombe Hill, best accessed by 251 bus if you're coming by public transport, across a field occupied by two grazing ponies. To rejoin it turn right at Folly Farm, a residential fortress with a supremely whiny hound, and the only building along the first two miles of the river. Alongside is a meandering channel, which actually has some water in it after the downpours of the last week, though is nothing special to look at. This section of the walk is a favourite for people who've parked up at the garden centre and fancy a short stroll, nothing too strenuous, maybe down to the gate and back, or perhaps across the next open field. One of Totteridge's ginormous deluxe mansions is wilfully visible at the top of the rise. A previous mansion-on-the-ridge, Copped Hall, is responsible for the highpoint of today's journey. Its formal gardens included an ornamental lake created by damming the Folly Brook, which was then transformed in the 1970s into Darland Lake Nature Reserve. The lake's also really shallow, which is how I got to watch a heron striding purposefully across the centre in search of lunch. A limited number of footpaths lead through the woodland site, including either side of the lake, with connections to the dogwalking meadows below Totteridge as appropriate. I walked round twice, because all was so joyously peaceful, and also slipped off piste into the trees, jumping across the rippling stream like a big child. The finest stretch of actual river follows, meandering between earthen banks twisted with roots from towering horse chestnuts. Any other river in London would have been confined in some way by now, this far into its descent, but the Folly Brook has been left to flow naturally because there are absolutely no houses anywhere nearby to threaten. Planks and logs in the footpath hint at the mudbath this track becomes in winter, the underlying clay being easily sodden, and even in August there are sections that'll leave your best trainers anything but pristine. After crossing the ancient trackway of Burtonhole Lane, the brookside path opens out into Dells Down Acre. What's unusual this juncture is that's totally accessible, simply by stepping off the tarmac of the Riverside Walk and advancing carefully through the trees. With water levels low it's possible to step across the shallows to a decaying bench sometimes used by littering lager drinkers, or to stand on the very stones where one brook gently enters the other.

Watching Kira sad and hearing that Jonas wasn't breathing made me scared, plus the music when they got to Treehollow made it more intense

They have tortured me with this cliffhanger. But wonderful chapter nun the less. But things also came to light in the chapter such as there are other humans as I suspect there was. And that screen Timberlane seen before trying to push curl. I fear the Timberlane is part of an experiment to see if humans and other creatures can coexistence together. But I fear for Timberlane now. But I know this now Abroad is 1 or 2 things. 1: it could be a continent with humans living on it. Or 2: A island which has a way to our world, which would mean when creatures go there they are turned into the animals they would be irl or in other words turn savage like from zootopia. Sorry for the long details. I'm a writer my self and love trying to decipher a story and it's plot. However this one puzzle me more and more.

There are a lot of hints that the actual rulers of Silver Sage are either bad people, or following rules written by bad people. In which case 'abroad' isn't so much a place, but a constant reminder of the harsh and arbitrary punishments that Silver Sage can not only inflict on you, but force you to inflict on those you know.

Yeah, it was why I got goosebumps too lol, this episode ended in the most interesting cliffhanger and I do wonder how Tam and Jonas are gonna pull through their situation. I am really invested in this comic now and also have a few theories! I know most of the comic is probably up in the Internet somewhere, but this team makes the experience a lot more entertaining, but the artist also deserves their credit for making this masterpiece a thing

My theory is that abroad was an island that had a doomsday vault of sorts, and this cvault could've been where tamberlane was born

My apologies about this long staring of theories I'm just verry intrigued with how this series is coming along and can't wait for chapter 5😅
