Tambour beading is a technique practiced mostly in Paris, Italy and India today and can be seen on the catwalks of Chanel, Elie Saab, Oscar De La Renta, Vera Wang and Christian Dior.
I have developed a range of courses from beginners to advanced online to explore haute couture sewing and how to apply it to a garment. The foundational level courses go through in great depth for beginners to grasp and develop their skills of beading using a tambour hook with a range of techniques.
The Int/Advanced level combines the foundational level with couture sewing techniques and the application of beadwork to a custom made garment. This video here shows clips of some of the features covered in all the courses.
