I recommend feeding them prime meat, rockcarrots, or crops (if you can tame them with it) I haven't tamed a dated on before but I'm pretty sure that would be faster and I would starve it and come back later to feed it so it would be faster also daedons eat a lot of food so I hope you have a alot stored for it

Imagine having anger issues like that, I’ve had my best tames die over and over when all I can do is sit and watch. I lost my quetzal and high level argies because I messed up an easy giga trap. I’ve had my most useful utility Dinos die at my base while I was away because I left them on passive. But despite that I keep going. That motivation got me 2 gigas and a 3 floor base with armored walls around it
