to be fait the bs theyre asking him i would be cringing too. They could have asked more about his music and what his talents are being used for but whatever,..
Kev really looks like someone who's having the best time of his life. Touring the world and putting on some amazing shows with his friends, being a new dad, making some great music... So relaxed and chill.
I had the pleasure of being in the supporting act opening for Tame Impala in Switzerland. Backstage he was very quiet and chill, the other band members definitely seemed more gregarious. He seemed like a humble guy. Which considering he’s a genius…
He’s an incredible guy. I met him at Gage Roads when he opened the venue as I was working there. Then I saw him Live in Perth at my first ever concert which was amazing! He’s a really nice guy, so down to earth.
He’s literally the reason I started making music. I make hip-hop but I produce all my own beats and vocals and lyrics etc independently. Kevin is my greatest inspiration and I love how humble he’s always stayed :)
Is that the Jebadiah Kev? With Vanessa on bass? Leaving home? From the 90s Jebadiah who used to tour the great Southern with Beaverloop, Flanders, Fuzztruncheon Ammonia and Humbug? Google won’t tell me
and it probably feels like the whole world is watching kevin. I couldn’t imagine having an interview and these people already know everything about my personal life.
So true. It’s probably feel odd. I wonder if that’s how celebrities feel when they date? Like is it weird that most of the world already knows or can find out anything about your personal life.
I saw Tame Impala at Jakarta a few years ago and then I was lucky enough to meet Kevin in person at the Jakarta airport the following morning as we were both flying out. He came across as being very humble, cool and polite.
I like hip hop/ rap a lot and honestly it’s a top 3 genre that I used to listen too 24/8 but Tame Impala showed me something completely different and indescribable in the past couple years 🔥 Kevin Parker is my favorite artist hands down and Tame Impala is simply indescribable.
This man comes off incredibly well and so genuine. Music scenes are filled with so much nonsense but this man seems so real! Will have to check out more of his stuff! :)
I'm mind blown , I first heard of tame impala years ago.. I would have never guessed he made it all by himself and then got his mates to make it happen live all at once.. Unreal.
he's such a shy but kinda excited guy haha he's like bouncing over the place because he's not used to getting all the attention with camera's straight in his face
This reminds me of the story of Crosby Stills and Nash - where Stephen Stills did most of the instrumentation for their first album. Credos to Stephen and Kevin - brilliant, much loved musicians!
His voice used to be a lot deeper in his really early songs. For a more modern one, you can hear his deeper voice shine again in his cover of A Girl Like You. It's very nice.
Funny about the warning thing, this dude right in front of me at a USA TSR tour stop blacked out during a strobe sequence and I had to carry him out of the pit. He was ok though. Make sure you know if you have photosensitivity before ya go to a rock show!
This is why I genuinely HATE Australian Interviews... They literally can't go without making more than 10 jokes and smartass comments, Couldn't have made that anymore awkward for Kev..
