I started to feed a robin this year from when it was a fledgling, it was completely brown with just a speckled chest. Now he has his red feathers and I feed him continuously throughout the day. I've just brought him a nesting box which I hope he will use for roosting in the bad weather. I'm feeding him mealworms, mixed seed and small pieces of sultana. He his just so cute! 💘

Thank you - it was such a lovely experience to tame a Robin and I was fortunate enough to have him around for around 18 months. It was a truly an amazing experience and a childhood dream to tame such a beautiful bird as the Robin.
Hello Bazz - this was a Robin that was so tame I just had a little hand held video camera and he just let me get really close to him - he just stood on the bottom half of my stable door and just had a little chat before he took a sultana from my fingers. Sadly he is no longer with us but he was such a little character. He used to take sultanas from my lips too!
Pigeons are beyond friendly. They're absolutely brazen. Will pester and follw you for food and then sh... on your head as a thank you and then come and rob the feeders you put out for smaller birds and repeat what they did before all over your windowsill, covering it all with their parasite and germs infested refuse. And then head for your garbage bins and drag the trash all over your neighbourhood. They're nothing but winged rats.
