The Mowry family always make me feel like smiling, ear to ear no matter how my life is. They made my childhood special and they keep doing material that I love. They're pure media gold and I just wish I could smash that in the faces of the people behind that magazine they were turned down for. A lot of love for them 💝💝💝
She mentioned her mother a few times in this interview. You can see how powerful motherhood, Black mothers and womanhood are to children. She did an amazing job with her kids.

My 7 year old granddaughter has watched every single episode of Sister Sister since it’s been on Netflix. Such an awesome show that I use to watch with my daughter.

People's comments here are so ignorant. Saying they are growing apart, I am a twin but when you grow older you have different priorities. My sister and I talk all the time but we have been apart for about 7 months now and really it has nothing to do with growing apart but priorities and covid isn't helping. She's 5 hours away and we don't risk it. Haven't seen mum in 9 whole months but she's closer to my twin so they see each other. People relax, sometimes zoom is all we got

I grew up watching Tia and Tamera... it's great to see they're still entertaining new generations. And their personalities are so effervescent and sweet. Tamera's story about how she introduced herself to that girl watching Sister, Sister in the waiting room was hilarious.

I haven’t seen my mom since January , she is a baby boomer (she had me at 40)and more susceptible to the virus. I talk /text her almost everyday though.

I was able to tell them apart when I was a kid, that has stuck with me and I can still tell them apart. Im thinking Tamera has a longer face like mine and Tia does not

I honestly think although we’ve grown to see them super close on TV, in real life they have very different views on life (e.g. religion, raising children, ect) - they’ve been slowly separating from each other’s identities for a while now.
Well, that's what happens when your are a individual with your own mind. Don't expect them to be the same because their face is the same. They even had a whole argument about separating and doing jobs alone.

I was watching Tamera's cooking live shows on IG a few months ago that she does with her husband. Tia and her hubby went live at the same time cooking their dinner. People in Tamera's live, which had way more people, was doing everything they could to get her to bring Tia into the live. She did everything in her power to pretend she did not see all those comments. Finally she started acting like she was trying to bring Tia in but it wasn't working. It is unbelievable that they have not seen each other in all this time due to COVID. My daughter and her family live across the country in California and I have visited twice. They were here over the summer and returning next month. This sounds more like an excuse to not address the elephant in the room. They aren't as close as people think they are or should be.
Well that's not surprising Tia doesn't post any of Tamera's ventures either. Did you know Tia has never made one social media post promoting The Real? Not even to promote the two times she appeared, the few times their brother appeared, or even the time her husband appeared. That was always so strange to me because I follow them both.

I'm still not sure why Tia wouldn't promote her own appearance on The Real or even her husband's. I just wanted to say that I literally just finished binge watching Sister, Sister. I loved it back then and still absolutely love it now. And that magazine was despicable.
My granddaughter is 6 years old and she loves to watch your show on Netflix. This is her go to daily or when she is allowed during school days. I still love to see you girls in Sister Sister.

I just recently rewatched sister sister and being a curly haired woman myself, I loved seeing them wearing their natural hair. We are getting to a place where people are embracing all of their naturalness and I can’t wait to show my daughter when she gets older! :)

I grew up watching tia & tamera and I’m a 80s baby and I still LOVE watching it even now. My daughter is 8 and she LOOOOVES watching tia & tamera. She says mommy tamera is so pretty and she makes me laugh she so funny. She says Lisa and ray are hilarious and favorite thing is when the twins say GO HOME ROGER lol

My daughter who is 9 is addicted to watching Sister Sister. I even told her I watched Sister Sister when I was young and we both watch it together from time to time and bond over episodes.

You’re right. There is definitely a strain and they aren’t that close. They’ve seen a lot of other friends and family multiple times during this pandemic with no problem.
Find it incredibly hard to believe that identical loving twins in the same state would not have found a way or reason to see each other in person in six months pandemic or not. Any ways that would be amazingly beautiful if the two little cousins would have a hit Disney show together following the footsteps of their mother. And after decades in their success, this is the first time that I've seen a picture of the mother of darker completion.

And in this case the famous rich twins have even more space in their magnificent yard, living by the best parks for the kids or just enjoying the life of living a far distance from people and on a vineyard. I live in another state and I can't even fly out to my family for a weekend trip w/o the worries of contact on public commute and quarantining 2wks when I just found a job after unemployment. And you have a car with 2 hours or less of driving distance and loving twins can't make that road trip work for their other half and the association of their children?? They get one time only to shed tears over that.
My identical twin sister Jude died 14 years ago... The oxygen left the room and my heartbeat stopped too. Half of me is gone... and I am living proof that one can live with half of a heartbeat.

It’s such a shame that memories they have as a part of their sister sister memories are that of not being allowed to be on a magazine cover.... because they’re black..... it’s such a disgusting thing and whoever had the balls to tell their publicist that they won’t be on the cover bc their black && the only way they could ever have that chance is if they were “triple threats” as she put it is fucking wild! I’m obviously white so I’ve never had any push back or negativity or told no bc of my skin color so I don’t understand what black people went through back then or now a days ... all I know is that it’s disgusting and I have 3 mixed babies... 2 of which are 4year old identical twin girls && an 11 year old son, they have a black daddy, and the thought of them being treated bad... horribly....or being judged bc of their skin color infuriates me bc they are the most perfect beautiful little people. I’m 54 and couldn’t imagine not seeing my sisters for 6 months and we aren’t even twins! You can see each other and still remain 6 feet apart or both of you get tested. once you get your negative results you’re good for a visit. Life’s to short and you never know what tomorrow might bring.
I find this incredibly sad that that happened to these two actresses. And, still today is even sadder that blacks have to fight so hard to succeed. I was raised back in the 70’s and I would never have thought to treat a black person any more different that I would treat another person. I was raised in a small town in the Midwest. I went to school with them, they were my friends, I was in a drum and bugle corp with them. We had never thought it was a thing until we traveled as a group in the south. We had stopped in a restaurant to get dinner. Those ignorant white folk would not wait on them. That is when we had culture shock. We, as a group, got up and walked out in support of those white folks ignorance. These girls were like sisters to us. We apologized for what happened and we all were deeply saddened by it.
People would've bought that magazine. What craziness. Your value doesn't go away just because you or someone else doesn't see it. God made you. To Him you are worth more than anything the world has in it!
