The first version of TAMGEE EBUNG was sung by Naba Volcano and Tangkhul legendary singer Worthingla in the year 1977, based on the personal love story of the singer himself {NABA VOLCANO}.
The song was a massive success and on people's demand, a radio version of the song was recorded again by legendary female singer Smt Arambam Jamuna Devi and Naba Volcano.
The success and the popularity of Tamgi Ebung only gained. Everyone tried their hands on their version of the song, however, a masterpiece always remained a masterpiece.
Much later a video album version of the song was released, sung by Sunita Nepram and Naba Volcano himself.
The song still resides in our hearts and we often hum to the tune.

The song is about two lovers who were separated by geographical barriers. The young lady resides in the beautiful mountain while the young lad resides in the valley. The young lady is worried that he might have forgotten her with all the chaos that surrounds him in the valley.
while the young lad is anxious about her and her wellbeing even if he was miles apart. He vividly remembers the time when she came to see him off, the tears, the heartbreak. They both remember the silly incidents they both had together and wonders if the other person had forgotten that, while it was clear that they both haven't.
