Pls Dont mix oldman and the flesh, what the film displayed was about lust in the flesh. that we need to overcome by our daily walk with Jesus with the help of the Holyspirit. but as per Rom 6:6,7 and Galat 2:20 our oldman was crucified when we gave our life to chirist. So no more oldman in a born again child of God.

The verses u've quoted is absolutely true and refers to how an ideal born again Christian should be. In Ephesians 4:22-24 the old self is said to be corrupted by deceitful lust and desires. St Paul refers to the old self as lust. True oldman is crucified but we should make sure that we die for our self daily (thats what Paul wants us to do) and be saved till we breath our last.
