Predominantly, Religion that represents culture more than the language. A Muslim tamil speaking person and a Christian tamil speaking person does not represent tamil hindu culture. Technically, Muslim tamil speaking people represent Arabic culture [ wearing hijab for occasions ] and Christian tamil speaking people represent western culture [ wearing a suit for wedding ]. Religion represents culture. Jewish culture represents practice of Judaism. Buddhist culture represents practice of Buddhism.
What are you trying to say? Muslim Tamils should follow TAMIL culture. NOT Arab! Christian Tamils follows tTamil culture, since they are TAMIL christians. they wear western attire because of modernization but back then, tamil grooms did wear veshti and saree to church weddings. i know my uncles did in the 80s . Same goes for tamil muslims. becaues of jihadist, dont confuse arab culture with islam. There are african jews whose culture is based on their root, NOT religion.
