I'm so glad you didn't scrap this episode so much. I laughed so much at this episode. Me and my wife were cracking up. I had a hernia surgery and this has been the hardest I've laughed at anything during my recovery. I understand your pain, but it makes great content... 😂

Syntac had the same issue with the Carchar bugging out on the trap and I recall him never having to go out of render for it to eat. As much of a headache as it might be, it's probably best to have it roam freely,kill all creatures in the area and feed it tamed/baby creatures you don't need or get it stuck somewhere before feeding it🤔 9:25 I see that Ankys continue to hold the crown for most overdramatic death🤣

31:23 He kocks you off if his rage hits 100 but that is better than timer hitting 0 because you lose less tameing effectiveness

I had the same issue with trying to feed babies. It took a good 30 seconds or more before the “drag body” option popped up. Also, the paleo versions take much less for the friendship meter to fill up. And I found the actual taming to go the fastest when I found a river with lots of fish.

Trapping carcars never worked out for me. It bugs them out way too often in my opinion. Like in this video lol

I love Carchas, I really do but they are the most frustrating thing to tame in the world. I felt your pain with this 😂

With Carchars, you need a high carry weight to drag larger Dino’s, and also trapping them does cause them to bug out and he won’t tame

In second round of taming, I tamed mine 140 with unclaimed diplo with 250k helth. I put him in the soul when he grew up and lvl up later. I gave him levels in front of charcha so his helth would be low. AND he does no damage so your effectivnes is 100%. I had boosted taming like 2.5 soo. Just use diplos. That thing down left increases with every creature you kill and each increase boosts your damage and idk what more. Do not use roar or it will dissapear. With it on 100 you can kill tamed giga.😉

the powerup in the bottom left is kinda like his rage meter. the higher it is, the more damage it does, upwards of 150% damage. it goes down over time if you havent killed anything in a while, and goes up when you kill things. more powerful things give you more levels (i forget if it's HP or Level specifically) but yeah, the roar is a buff to self and allies for Seconds x the rage level when roared.

I tamed and raised high health Brontos with Melee mutations for a Rhynio. I ended up using a dead baby rex or two to get the friendship. Then I had 6-7 Brontos with cryo sickness sitting by him a bit as well as a couple Rexes. I just the cryo sickness dinos with him and a Lvl 145 was tamed in about 5 minutes with no trap. . .

Still have to say I loved when you got stuck in Evo’s house without doors 😂

Tamed dozens Carcha, trick is don’t use a trap, structures cause them to glitch big time. Can only carry certain dinos based on drag weight, so baby rexes best, or wild rhino

the thing that confuses me with the charchar is that you ride it when taming with no saddle but when tamed you need a saddle, it just confuses me. also great video good job on taming the charchar

I’ve never used a trap for these. Feed em a baby Rex has always filled the meter full even on official rates and without a trap is honestly surprising a million times easier than with one

I used baby paleo carnos to tame one, I usually use baby rexes but didn’t have any at the time, kill them drag and feed like you were trying, then I used about 50 baby carnos I just threw them out and unclaimed them before I did anything, then killed them all with the carch. I also use a different trap, I just 4 s+ behemoth gates with a gate on each side, I use that trap for pretty much every Dino that I need a trap on

Loving the effort so far. With respect I offer a suggestion(only about 10 min into the episode so may be void), build a small trap nearby, use the Griffin or Argy, pick up some animals, drop into the cage, kill at leisure and drag out. May take a little longer but would be easier...I think. Good luck Axeman.

Axe u can not trap carchas because for some reason they are not eating the Corps than.Don’t go near the Carcha when he is in rage mode (yellow eyes) and the best creature baby’s to use is wyvern and yuty from what I remember and when it’s raged on the rage meter it kicks u off (only at wild) (rage meter bottom left)and u can get on him after he his rage meter has gone down u don’t have to bring him more corps when you roar with it all of the rage meter is gone (doesn’t work on wild) the rage makes u more stronger and stuff like that

The carcar was one of my favourite Dinos in ark but the tameing method made me lose a 5 hours of my life because it wouldn’t stop biting the trap so half the time I was dragging body’s just to be eaten instantly whithout the sniff so no progress but when it did sniff it never bite afterwards also add the argies that spawned and ate all the bodies and the worst thing was it was a level 6 that I was using as practice for high levels

I remember my first attempt at taming a Carch, I ran into the same exact problem and I raged as well. Also, the reason the Carch threw you off was because it reached 100 kills. When riding the Carch and killing stuff, don't let the Carch reach 100 kills because it will throw you off. Once tamed, the meter is your kill meter. The more things you eat, the more damage the Carch does.

My experience was different, I had to trap it. Go get trikes with my wyvern And then I would kill the Triceratops. Let it eat it, fly out of render and then come back and do it all over again. Letting it eat trikes, it only took 4 to 5 to get it to a 100% friendly. And then you let it eat Brontos and t rexes.

I died when you were stuck in Evo's house I'm sorry! lmao What works for me (granted I don't bother with Carchars anymore) but I make a trap similar to yours only mine is wider and 4x as long. The wideness gives the carchar freedom to move around and the length kind of acts like it's not in a trap but it is contained. After which I use giga or rex babies. I place them one at a time inside the trap at a distance from the carchar then use the s+ kill gun to drop the babies. Seems to tame pretty easy. After which I just run around eating things. Usually get between 90 and 100% effectiveness. Also you should taxidermy a couple wyverns and put them on each tower on that base. Would look cool as shit.

This is the reason why I don't trap them anymore. The process becomes buggy. I just kill a baby yuty(largest baby dino you can carry I think) nearby then carry it to the carchar. I also tried taming it by unclaiming baby gigas then killing them with the carchar which worked in my single player world.

oh all the bugs glitches n bad servers and not to forget the great info we gonna lose all on official servers made me quit ark n as i feel ark2 feels like singleplayer i dont think ill play that n hell will i give a single dollar for ASA after i paid all the dlcs n shit for ASE so ... watching u not giving up -Gg to u Axe!

Traps on charcha are buggy they usually attack trap till you leave and return from render and may need to repeat till friendly. Without trap you can drag till sniff and run before he eats the dino or may not get a chance to return to dead bodies

Axe, if you ever want to tame another one use tames. It took me 4 rhinos with around 30,000 health. 2 to befriend him and 2 for eating once you get on him to ride. Do NOT heal them, yes they're bugged out and you have to leave render sometimes. Another broken creature, drag weight is stupid, how can you drag a rhino or stego and not a carno? Just tamed a 135 on Ragnarok and yes he was a pain in the ass...🤬💜🩵🩷 Axe the bottom left is the rage meter, when you get to 100 creatures it blood rages and he's big strong 💪

i literally had a nighmare of taming it and in the dream i needed to tame every dino in that way and in the middle of the night i logged on to check if i really fed my whole tribes dinos to it so yea one time non more

The first round of taming it needs to be a high weight stat. Second round (when you get on the carch and it rages), you need to eat stuff with high health. What I've done is tame ankys or stegos or andrewsarchus and kill them, then drag it to him. (You will need a high weight stat) Then, for when you get on the Carch, you can line up brontos, diplos or gasbags beforehand and put them on passive before disowning them and killing them

Carchas glitch in traps. Way easier on foot then trapping for them. :)

Carchar are so hard to tame 😂 Have not used a trap for a long time for the bugged out.. They even bug out when not using a trap 😭 But you need to have high weight stat that are higher then the base weight of the dead animal. And if you have much stuff in your inventory that add a lot of weight you wont be able to carry the animal even if you got more weight in stats. And i always use a sino when taming them so can you get away after he have eaten 😂 Did only tame the Carchar on official under events. it was basically impossible on 1x Are on a 10x taming server now and max lvl 400 on wild dinos and it still hard to tame them 🤣

Don't be too heavy to drag creatures, don't trap Carchas! For the 2nd phase unclaim high level (baby) Gigas, Rexes or Spinos set on passive...

Lol 3 hours I can remember when ark first dropped just the island with 120 max lvl Dino’s spending like 12 hours raw meat taming a Rex 😂 it’s about that grind my man

If you feed him dead regular baby gigas it goes so quick and if you let him kill baby gigas when your killing stuff it goes quick,but if you can’t drag them it’s cause your weight is too low,you need to raise your weight a lot to carry a giga,if you do it easy to tame a carchar on official

traps will bug them out and the absolute best is to feed it for the first part of the taming method is baby rexes..... its an instant fill up on the meter

yeah traps bug them out hard for some reason and a lot of the ARK dino AI needs a lot of room to rotate, so things look like they are running away from you, when its just them trying to perform some complex geometry to reorient themselves. I see this a lot of with Noglin Taming. As many others said the left corner is their rage meter during the part 2 if it reaches 99 thats why it kicked you off, similar to the andrewsarchus taming, just not as obvious. also i believe being able to drag around bodies, also factors in your own inventory weight so maybe thats why you couldn't pick up bodies got too much stuff already on you.

1 baby Yut (500 drag weight, high weight stats needed) and imprinted diplos with high health do the trick very very easily

I've had NOTHING but problems taming those in my SP game. All they do is bite the trap and have no interest in the dead dinos I bring them. Leave render, go across the map, wait 20 minutes, I've tried it all. They always seemed bugged. I got one to eat once and then never again.

I think I remember Raasclark mentioning in his initial guide that you have to lure it into the trap on foot.. Cant remember why, tho.. Not sure if it has to do with aggro..

Carchars aggro on the trap and don't eat sometimes, I hate trap taming them.

Use rex bodies to gain it's trust then go eat everything ,one rex should give you full trust

I have tamed everything on official. The struggle of official is real. Even raising a giga on official takes 8 real life days to raise 1 to adult.

the best way to tame the carcha is to give him a baby rex thats a tip if ur gonna get a second one

two people taming is easier. I used my wyvern, killed some gallis that another teammate dragged over, then he hopped on and I hurt the brontos in the area (and flying told him where to take the carchar) so he could one shot them. Was much easier than this. No trap but was good!

Nooblets has one of the best trap designs I've seen. Its a two sided trap with a behemoth gate in the center. You shouldn't ever have to leave the trap with this method

Its actually pretty easy at First fead one killed yuty babyto get the Trust bar instantly füll No Trap next Feed him some giga Babys because of the high healthstat but as soon as the counter at the bottom of the Screen ist as Close as possible to100 now let the counter Go down again and Feed new gigas. That should be it

Baby rexes are 100% to go that's how my husband and I tame them so fast. Baby rexes raise the taming to 100% friendliness every time

One thing Raasclark found out was if you make the Carch run off a cliff, you can drop the bodies down to it and it gains friendship without having to trap it. Saw it on one of Raasclark and Veno's dingle cup videos. Haven't tried it myself yet

lol. simple tame if you just wear ghillie and can just munch on wild dinos or if you want feed it baby rex to get it to inta accept you as friend and if you want max taming effectiveness feed it unclaimed dinos.

You have way more patience and tolerance for buggy and broken game mechanics than i do. Also when you sprint it burns it's stam, so don't sprint since it has crappy stam management like a giga. You could also spend points in stam but we all know there is zero chance of you ever doing that. All in all i'd say that was not worth the time and effort to tame. You feel like everything has too much armor because just yesterday you were riding around on a Giga that did 9000 damage a bite.

Honestly traps bug it out. Safari taming and sacrificial creatures seems to be the best method.

The only trap that worked for us was one where it could move around freely. We fed it corpses in the gaps between gates and that worked.

I found the best way is to feed it a yuti,seems to work pretty well. I have a mating pair and use their babies to feed it.

It’s really bugged out eating currently for the carchadontasaurus currently. It’s very hard for it to work correctly right now. I tried to do it correctly on my hosted dedicated extremely necessarily boosted server and it was extremely difficult and to frustrating to get it working properly and correctly. I had to use my necessary admin gm summon codes instead since it’s to constantly buggy taming them currently.

For the next time. 1. Forget the trap 2. You were on the right way with the Giga Babies. But these are too heavy. Try Diplo Babies next time 3. Start hunting with small animals to increase the buff and then big animals. If possible, near water where many fish swim in it. The buff goes up quickly.
