cheers mate! The oils are a real game changer and really adds so much more to your weathering experience! They are awesome! Oh nice the old Panther A is a classic and builds up to a fine little kit with some work
Thank you! I am really glad you are enjoying the series. I has been a great learning adventure for me. But I am glad to be nearly ready to finish it as I am very keen to see how it all comes together :)
Great videos, been out of the game for awhile, so your site has been very helpful. I’m also building Tamiya’s late G, and want to find an early gun mantle like yours . Are there any after market companies that you know of that carry them now or suggestions? Keep up the good work, and thanks for the inspiration!
Hey mate, So the two companies that spring to mind that mind that might have the mantlets would be Tiger Model Design (out of the US) and Panzer Art (out of Poland). They would be my first port of call in looking for parts. Hope this helps!
Thank you! It was perhaps the most involved build I had yet embarked on for the Channel but I am very glad I didn't rush it as it would have spoilt it I think
Thank you John! It was a long time in the works, but I think it was work the effort in the end, also keep an eye out for the final part of this project which hopefully will be live in a few weeks
@@longlance67 l will certainly be looking for your final video on this project! The Panther is my favorite tank and you hit a home run (baseball term) on this Tamiya kit!
You've done a grand job of the Panther . I'm building one now for a diorama and will be painting similar trim tone camo' as yours. Love your work and tips especially with waffen ss camo'.
Very well done Sir! I am going to "appropriate" some of your methods on my upcoming builds - Jagdpanther and Panther A Late. The paint job and weathering all work mesh well and the "burn" as well.
I was waiting for that deacl to rip there lol I'm building the meng jumbo I'm using archers cast markings and one pinged off this morning sanding the AK easy cast texture I just tried on the turret quite annoying with that happens lol I picked a couple of them oil sets up the other day the weathering and effects one and the light and shadow set bloody 25 bucks a pack I was but probably last a lifetime.
I was waiting for the decals to disintegrate when I was sanding them too, but we got away with it lol I haven't used the AK cast effects for my Sherman's yet, I've been using Mr.Surfacer and its working very well so far. The 502 sets are a bit pricey but they are worth every penny for amount of use you will get out of them in your projects!
thanks mate! really glad you enjoyed it! I currently working my way through your Pz.IV videos with the Miniart and RFM kits lovely work with both mate!
Bravo Shane!! Really enjoyed this display of talent and viewing all the details and how you achieved them ! Been waiting a long time for this ! This is fantastic work here and superbly presented thank you for sharing it! Appreciate you following up on this project with this detailing Really looking forward to diorama , inspires me to finish mine!! Excellent!!!
Thank you Don! I am very humbled that you enjoy it so much and that the wait did not disappoint! I hope to get the diorama done in next few weeks thanks mate!
Glad it was helpful! I learnt so much with this build, though it was a labor of love to get over the finish line I am super happy with how it turned and that you guys enjoyed the journey!
Great stuff altogether. You did a super job with the Star Decals. Know where you are coming from about the struggles with them but the finished job is really somethin. I'd be too terrified to go sanding them down! 😊
thanks mate! I like the AK mud effects for diorama base just fine but for use on vehicles it really need to thinned down as the pigment is so heavy and thick
What editing software do you use? And also, what song is that at 34:58 , I have been searching for it alot. I know it's a license free. But still cant find it, because I don't know its name Btw, great job!!!!!!!!!!
Stunning model Shane. Yes, i can certainly say it was well worth the wait! Can't wait for the diorama already. Inspired by your model, the book that tells the story of Panther 126 is probably going to get a second read from me now! Your model is so inspiring and the presentation of the video is excellent. Keep well 👏
Thanks mate I am so glad that it did not disappoint all you guys patience! Steve Zaloga's book on this action is just a fantastic book and really makes me want to do a project depicting the M10s that engaged 126! But I need to finish the dio first me thinks lol Which should only take a few weeks
Thanks mate! It was something I was bit worried about when it came to the weathering that it would be too easy to over do it, but I am glad you guys feel it was balanced!
@@longlance67 I've the panther completed, based colour on, then I couldn't get the desired camo as I was new to using the airbrush. I've completed a 1/350 Prinz Eugen and almost finished 1/350 Scharnhorst.
Really is a great colour that German Camo blk brwn I need pick up more! They done great mixing it so thick in the bottle I always have it in another bottle and thin it slightly but lasts ages! Had one bottle for about 8 months! I used it on a 50 cal the other day with a wee dry brush of ammos gunmetal drybrush paint it looks so good!
This was the most great investment in my time. Learning a lot from this series of videos. Enjoying watching your work. Thank you for your time and effort.
