TAMIYA F-4B Phantom II™✅ Full video build (1/48th scale) 

I’ve been building plastic kits since the late 1950’s and I’ve never seen such fine detail like the cockpit of this Phantom. Beautiful!

you know i love watching these scale model kits being put together. My husband is a veteran and to calm himself i would find him build military models in his home office. I love building Japanese anime kits but my husband is on another level. Interestingly enough my husband loves to draw comics too. Seeing this F-4 i think of a comic has put a lot of passion into and hopes people will read when he presents it on patreon. It’s his take on a Top Gun prequel about the main character’s father in the Vietnam Air War. Centered around the F-4,F-8,A-4,A-6,A-7,Mig-17,19 and 21. My husband grew up in a military family and pushed his idea of join the military after highschool.

Very cool, also loved the 80s type music.

Awesome bit of work. Don't think I'll go that far. I have an SWS Wings F-4E that I'm going to do as an RAAF Phantom. Just a paint job and decals really as the RAAF had these on lease while awaiting the F-111 so they came straight out of US inventory with just RAAF insignia on them.

I thought it was going to be completely OOB till you started drilling holes! Lol! I have yet to do any real resin sets other than wheels. It turned out superb! As a side note though, I'm a USAF Veteran and was an aircraft mechanic. I can't say for the Navy, but we never left panels resting on the aircraft. Too easy to scratch the paint or cause other damage. We either had a panel rack nearby or set them on the ground. Peace and love.

Wow incredible attention to detail and patience! I’m new to modelling and want to build some planes or cars but I don’t have an airbrush, can you get paint that you can use a paintbrush with? Airbrushes are kinda expensive lol

I loved the hobby but it just got way to expensive and at the end all I had was a dust collectors. Now I enjoy it via other builders

Don’t feel bad about wasting money on those resin wheels. I’d to have done that before but it was a lesson learned for me. A lot of these resin sets are just copies of the original mold that’s why before I pull my wallet out. I inspect it carefully to see whether it actually needs a resin set or not.

Только приземлился, в тот же миг Из кустов раздался дикий крик: Желтолицые вьетнамцы верещат в кустах, как зайцы. Я упал на землю и затих. Вновь иду по проклятой земле. Гермошлема нет на голове. Сзади дулом автомата в спину тычут мне солдаты, Жизнь моя висит на волоске. «Кто же тот пилот, что меня сбил?» - Одного вьетнамца я спросил. Отвечал мне тот раскосый, что командовал допросом: «Сбил тебя наш летчик Ли Си Цын». Это вы, вьетнамцы, врете зря! В шлемофоне четко слышал я: «Коля, жми, а я накрою!» - «Ваня, бей, а я прикрою!» Русский ас Иван подбил меня. Где-то там вдали родной Техас, Дома ждут меня отец и мать. Typically, the kit comes with something like 3 million decals, I wonder how many of those you applied before crying "enough"

I find that some construction techniques are questionable to the detriment of the accuracy of assembly and painting.

Clipping of parts is a bit too dominant here. Obviously part of the building process, but no one has to watch it like 55 times to understand the concept of getting parts off the sprues.

Nice build as always, good job sir! Please don't advertise the use of spray cans though. They are very bad for the environment, most of the time overpriced and in my experience only marginally easier and faster to use than my airbrush, if at all.
