Watching these things race on a dirt track is hilarious. There's a video here doing just that. I'd make a track in my yard if it wasn't a rental. I'm fortunate to have a bmx track walking distance away and an on road club here in Bundy. It really takes the fun to the next level. Cool collection and video too. I must have around 24 cars now. Keep telling myself I need to stop. Oh hang on, that was the missus
That's awesome, and a track so close to have fun with all the time, I have lost count how many times I've packed up my rc gear only to find myself unpacking everything a month or so later, there's no escape because rc is the escape, can't have too many cars , just adds to an awesome collection 😄✌
Have the lunchbox on the shelf and can spend hours looking at it, Run vid will be a special one so hopefully the gt tuned motor gives us that extra little bit of fun, thanks so much mate 😀👍
Congratulations on the build! Let me make a few recommendations. Please use oil filled shocks. On mine I use 80mm rear, 75mm front. It takes away some of the ridiculous front camber. Makes a world of difference. Also please shim all the slop, especially on the axles. You will thank me. Lastly, stabilize the rear gearbox/axle by doing a third shock option or instal a bracket to eliminate the chassis “slap.” This will put more power to the rear wheels and make the shocks work better by not extending due to the extreme torque under heavy acceleration. Cheers!
Thanks so much mate, I will take those recommendations on board , I was thinking of doing an upgrade vid for the lunchbox or pumpkin somewhere down the track, these upgrades would be a monster upgrade for a monster van that's fantastic 😀👍
Wow dude! You are making me want one of these with all that hype and excitement 😁 I really want to do a drift build with this body though. That would be hilarious! Big old brick sliding sideways😆 Loving the intro and the shop cuts, too. Nice touch!
Thanks so much brother, dam a drifting lunchbox top idea that would be something else, amazing what can be done with rc now as compared from back in the day 😀👍
Nice one, mate, looks good with the paint job, and as always your video was exciting to watch, good job! Yeah, I got a Lunchbox also after way too many years' wait, although mine is completely non-compliant to Tamiya's original concept, I have a couple videos with it if you want to see it, it's really ugly and weird...
Thanks so much mate, for sure , I have been seeing alot of different and unique paintjobs and the aftermarket parts for these is insane so for sure will check yours out 😁👍
Awesome build Bloka! I’m interested in seeing how the GT motor does. I have a rising fighter buggy on the way and I’m still trying to figure out what motor I want to put it in. My grasshopper 2 has a sport tuned and I want to put something on it but the gt might be too much torque
Thanks so much mate, I don't think the GT tuned motor is too much torque, the specs are only slightly higher than a sport tuned , but price is quite abit more coin, I will be comparing this car to sport tuned Midnight Pumpkin in the Run vid so we will see , I suspect the difference will be only slight but then again ,that could make all the difference in the fun factor 😀👍
@@rcbloka thanks, tag I pulled the two up not long ago and they aren’t that much different. I know it’s more $ I just want a different Tamiya motor in each of my Tamiya kits for some reason lol
@@BargainBashersRc completely understandable bro, I'm doing the same thing, different motors in different cars to compare and have fun with, can't wait to use the superstock BZ and RZ motors, I like using tamiya motors for tamiya cars, it's like they are mean to be, yeah by all means go for it 🤙
Really interested in how the GT Tuned goes, too. It's a very nice serviceable Tamiya motor, it has heaps of torque, but the top speed is very mild. It might be the perfect combination for a Lunchie!
@@rc_fundays The wheelie action should be insane , i have the 540 torque tuned in my grasshopper and it rips, very controllable also i think its a good combo ✌
