I never wanted a Tamiya Lunchbox, but people rave about them so I had to see for myself.
I bought an XSA edition as I felt I didn't want to build this one, or paint it as I just wanted it up and running as quick as possible.

There are so many things you can do to make it handle better, its a great chassis and endless fun.

I totally agree! Bought this so others could have a go rather than use my more expensive cars. However, it’s turned into one of my favourite cars!

I was the same as you, i won one in a raffle at the lakeland classic. Ran it and loved it. Gonna treat it to some bearing soon 😁

I had no intention of any upgrades, but some might creep in. Love it!

I put a sport tuned motor in mine to give it that bit more power and it goes great.

Yeah, I have a sports tuned in my Monster Beetle. Think I’ll keep the Lunchbox as is for the time being though.

People say the torque tuned is not noticeable slower bit a lot cheaper. I didn't try it. I also use a sport tuned.

Love this buddy! im thinking of getting one too! Do u know if the lunchbox can fit 1/10 Tamiya buggy wheels? I have an avante & racing fighter. Would love to run them on smaller wheels for racing the lunchbox on the tarmac...

Not sure. Might have to put the body on a different chassis.
