Ooh, that Alfa looks fantastic! A mate of mine has raced the M06 Beetle at our local club, he chucked a 17.5t brushless setup in it, and it's really quick. I love the M chassis, running an M07 myself, albeit with the Factory Pro RC upgraded spur gear, and with a 13.5t brushless motor it goes like a rocket ;) Personally I'd love to see more on the TC01 chassis, if they did the McLaren Senna I'd be very , very tempted....
I'm glad someone else agrees with me on the TC-01. It feels unloved. It needs more editions with different bodies or maybe it's time for an R, S, or Pro version. The TC-01 would look amazing with that Senna body, or maybe something else super and low-slung.
Just pre-ordered the Mercedes C11 from Tower in the US because you implied it will be worth millions. 😂 I doubt I’ll get one as it’s been on their website as a pre-order for quite sometime and it’s currently their top selling Tamiya kit.
@@Ts-zy4bw on the Tower Hobbies website, you can search for just kits and then sort by ‘Top Sellers’. You can also apply a filter to only show a certain brand such as Tamiya. My original comment which you just replied to is 3 months old so the C11 is no longer their top selling Tamiya kit. It’s now currently the black Egress.
I pre-ordered Mercedes C11 at Towerhobbies last month and was completely forgetting about it. Then, I got a notice that it had been shipped last week. It was delivered today and the status of the kit on Towerhobbies' website is already backorder (but it should actually say discontinued). As Tamiya is not making it any more, I guess I lucked out on this. The product description has (limited edition) in it and that was the reason why I pre-ordered it to begin with. I also got the 45th anniversary Porsche 934 last month that I had placed a backorder request many months ago. I never thought I would get one. (additional comment) Do you have any information about the timeframe of the Avante Black Edition? I keep saying I am an onroad guy, but this is another master piece that I gotta have. I am not a fan of most of Tamya buggies made of almost exclusive by cheap plastic materials, but I am a sucker for kits that are made of high quality materials (such as carbon fiber, FRP, diecast, duralmin, and so on).
Nothing yet of the 1/10th. It’s been confirmed and a kit number has been released. Tamiya do this sometimes for some random reason. We have the same with the Evo 5, we don’t know if it’s a rally or street version yet as no images have been released.
Not sure what happened with the C11. It was super popular so not sure if Tamiya underestimated how popular it was and production was stopped when the first manufacturer batch number was reached but the number requested to be made was well under what was needed but it costs to start up production again and Tamiya doesn’t think a second batch would sell. I’m just guessing.
