Well that was a most enjoyable watch Craig..... love these Tamiya guide books, thanks for sharing mate! Tamiya are certainly firing hard this year with lots of new releases, some really interesting chassis with some gorgeous scale bodies. Great to still see plenty of classics to choose from to. There's two cars that tickle my fancy in the catalogue - The BBX..... but you hit the nail on the head regarding the price, couldn't agree more! But I certainly like that mix of vintage looks with modern tech. The other is the VQS, I always wanted a vanquish back in the day. But, it has a really bad reputation for being extremely weak.... and the design faults from the original were not addressed before the re re,otherwise I would have already ordered this one! You need to listen to the wise Mark and Rob..... you NEED a clod dude!! No Tamiya collection is complete without at least one! It may not fit in with your OR schedule, but it's one of those rigs you can just take out anywhere and simply have a blast, and the build process is awesome! So you treated yourself to the TD4 eh mate? I will definitely enjoy seeing that one get built, and intrigued to see how it does around the track. It's a cool looking chassis, but I just can't get passed that body, and Tamiyas blatant butchering of the Avante branding! 😂 You mentioned the Egress to, this is another MUST! I'm pretty sure you would love this kit, especially knowing how much you adore your Top force Evo. Yes, it's expensive, but when you see the quality of the components you will realise that it's not overpriced. It actually drives very well, Infact Jamie Booth raced it competitively in the early 90s..... I would love to see this around the OR against the Optima Mid, TF Evo and TD4! I am glad you enjoyed it James! I have an even better version that has arrived with a more in depth look at some of the models and spares. It is a beast so I need to write some notes as I turn the pages on this one!! The BBX looks beautiful but I am just not sure that it is good value. The VQS was in a basket at one point but I was put off by reports that it can be a fragile chassis which is unfortunate. The TD4 (I will never call it a Super Avante) I have been watching for months. I love the TD2 and I am interested to see how much better the 4wd sister will be out on the track. I think it will be faster than the TT02b and the DF03 which then means we have a very interesting modern 4wd class too. BUT I also have a DB01 and I can’t wait for some head to heads with that model and the TD4! As for the Egress… I know it is my cup of tea but it is also a model I feel comfortable waiting on as they don’t seem to sell well. There always seems to be one somewhere and sometimes at a brilliant price too! Thanks for watching matey and that Clod might be in the OAG fleet on day too 🙌🏻
Great catalogue. Thanks for showing and mentioning my channel Craig. I like they implemented the semis, too. A few years ago we had to buy a second catalogue for that, but with Carson parts included.

I have one still but its not in good condition but still go back to it from time to time for a good look and it still makes me feel all warm and nostalgic! I have the Fiat here but love the look of both the Citroen and the Kadett. Egress...! Sold mine NIB and wish I hadn't!! Clodbuster Black... I have one here NIB but the box is taking up less room than if i was to build it!, same for the Brat too!! Excellent video as always Craig!

I'm losing track of the new Tamiya chassis' but they are mainly road ones so probably not for me anyway. The Manta Ray is indeed a bargain in this day and age. I think you should do this more often and name the segment "Story Time with Craig." Lol! - Just a bunch of middle-aged dudes hanging out as you flip through the pages of our favorite catalog. Hahaha. As for your wish list, the Clod is a must-have! Although I think it might demolish the OR! :)
😂 I would need one of those buttery smooth Hollywood voices for that pal! The Clod is on the one day list. I decided that the Manta Ray and the TD4 were more OR ready purchases. Hope Tamiya keeps the fun coming 🙌🏻

Nice walk through of the catalog! I always enjoy strolling through the wish books and making the mental lists of which ones I really want, the ones I kind of want then the rest are usually take it or leave it. Most of them fall into the first 2 categories though!! LOL !
