I have a tip for soldering for you sir. Use a small mallet to flatten your core. Cut the solder with a exacto blade into 1-2mm pieces and set them in place and use a butane torch to melt the solder in. It wont blob and you wont have to worry about any other solder issues.
@ScaleStudioModeling

Thanks for the tip, I really appreciate that, because you can se I did not have the best experience with the stuff
@dantimmerman6693

@@ScaleStudioModeling exactly why I gave you the tip. Pe fenders although easy to cut out and bend are a royal pain in the butt to solder.

Very nice how you tackled the PE and improved so many details on the stug-kit!!! I think with the primer on, it'll look fantastic!!!
@ScaleStudioModeling
@ScaleStudioModeling 3 года назад
I agree with that! Thank you! Most of the kit actually come in Tamiya's enhanced with Aber line. I have another tank from that line coming, but I don't think that I'll follow the same schedule with it. The only reason that this kit is so amazing is that this incredible kit was on sale from $95 to $35, which I absolutely could not pass up!

Hey bud I found your channel thru Panzermiester. Great stuff. I just purchased the same kit on sale with the extra PE so am looking forward to the series. It’s gonna be my first experience with PE so super on time.

Thanks, glad you like my work. I would not reccomend getting the voyager fenders. Just adds a lot of complexity.

Middle band on hack blocks normally the strap, so Aber are correct on a way there normally really good products is there not a strap and buckle with the set for the middle? The straps normally moulded on the jack block itself so maybe why only gave 2 side riveted banding! I'm using them MJ miniature 3D Printed panzer clamps just now, hell of a lot easier than my workable I have 2 sets one for the panther's and tigers and one for the panzers they have printed open clamps so very nice! Definitely different!

That's interesting! Yeah the PE only came with the two side bands. it is, however, included in a model that I have coming up!

I just picked one of these kits up and am slightly surprised by the amount of PE parts for it. As a 40k modeller I wasn't quite aware of what I just jumped into lol. I'm looking forward to the challenge though

Dude I have the exact same model in the box. I saw this video and was like thank god someone has a video on it. I’m just starting out with model tanks. Do you have any hints on what a new modeler should have in their inventory to help build them? Thanks for the video. 👍🏻👍🏻

Randy Rohring, with all the photo etch in this kit, make sure you have. A good set of tweezers, either black or clear superglue, and definitely polystyrene-friendly debonder, so you can clean up any news you make with the ca. Make sure you have Tamiya extra thin, or Mr. cement for all those tiny parts. Defintely have sanding sticks for reworking kit parts, good sharp-side cutters, and a fresh exacting knife. Depending on how far you go with it, also get Tamiya putty for filling seams and armor texture, and Tamiya two part epoxy for welds and large repairs. Make sure to take your time! Multiple gauges of wire for the lights and other details is also super helpful. For the antenna, make sure to get either thin music wire (just look it up, you’ll see what I mean) or learn to stretch sprue. Good luck! Also, would not recommend the photo etch fenders, they are super complex for panzer iii’s and pretty challenging to put together.

Hey can I ask what's your set up with the super glue, after all this time im still not happy with my own CA glue system.
@ScaleStudioModeling
@ScaleStudioModeling Год назад
Absolutely! Currently I use gorilla gel superglue for pretty much everything, I’ve tried basically everything else, but gel is easy to apply precisely, and dries fairly slowly. It also reduces mess and the need to clean up with debonder, which I barely even use any more
