Keep ‘em coming I just finished an XV-01 myself. Mine is sensored brushless 13.5T but running 2S (stock esc that came with the car). I have the Tamiya sway bars front and rear and the way expensive Tamiya TRF shocks. The shocks were spendy but, boy are they smooth. I have the Lancia Delta body and the overseas Tamiya Interior in it. With the knight customs grille and roll bars.
XV-o1 is one of the best Tamiya platforms there is... and are just a blast to drive.. but yeah, getting parts are pretty sketch. I even ended up buying another one just for spares. I also went brushless in mine , and it's pretty mind-blowing. lol
I just built up a XV01, and couldn't get it to go straight either. I removed the servo saver and added a rigid servo horn in its place. Works great now. There is a metal strung heavy duty version available. I think the plastic springs are the problem on the stock part.
IDK where your located but I have a full open to public rc rallycross track in Oregon. We have rentals and drivers stand and everything. I personally run the xv01 long damper spec with a lrp 13.5t spec motor, quicrun 10bl120 and a savox 1258tg

That’s tough. It’s hard to find good scale figures for these trucks. A lot of people use the action figures from movies. They are a lot more detailed than the toy figures. A lot of them on eBay. There are some places that 3d print drivers and even some that can scan you and print a mini version. But that gets little expensive.
