I read somewhere that George left with a couple thousand in his pocket and his car, giving Tammy everything else. This is a man that paid for Johnny Paycheck's funeral and headstone. What a generous man. He had a lot to be proud of and surely his sobriety. Will miss George Jones.
Thanks so much for posting this -- I love the end, where Tammy actually says Jone's name........so much feeling in it. Tammy and George -- best singing duo of all time.
THEIR LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER WILL NEVER DIE !!! I WISH GEORGE COULD OF SANG A SONG MAYBE TITLED, " I LOVE YOU MRS. TAMMY WYNETTE !!! Beautiful song from Tammy !!
Haunting....very surreal. Now that both of these country greats are gone, there is a definite void in my heart in the loss of both Tammy and George. There will never be another duo quite as dynamic or the great country artists that they were. They brought country music to a place that others couldn't touch. R.I.P. Mr. Jones and Mrs. Wynette.
Well, it has been a long time since I have thought about this time. I am sure they were in love. The puzzlement is making it "work" for a lifetime. God love them and keep them forever as wonderful people who shared their love and lives with us.
this song is about LOVE, and how she will always feel about George. What in the hell is wrong with that? She could be married 10x over plus, but he will always be the one she loves the best and the most now and forever!!!! . . . what is so hard to understand about that????????
I don't know why someone would flag this beautiful song? Do you happen to have this available in an mp3 format?? if so could you email me a copy to my direct email..let me know and I will send the address to you! thanks for the wonderful postings. Marty-Albuquerque,NM
I thought this was the song I was looking for. Does anybody know the song "I love you". I don't know the artist, but the lyrics sort of go like this... I love little puppy dogs, old pick up trucks, and I ove you...
