Your very welcome Valient and it changes the way you peg Hunt because you think nice casting/terrible tampo's! You can see beyond that now! Thanks mate! 😊👍
Those silver lines are actually spots on the casting with thinner paints. Raised and recessed areas. Your rubbing through the base coat down to the zamac. Its the whole reason I stopped doing this with a lot of cars and just started repainting them.
Oh... Nice. Customization from Sol is here. Wonderful. I have just preparing for my own customization surpice video :) But now it`s only in my mind... Nice method for removing decails
I will be trying that for sure tomorrow. I Have tried a couple of times, but your explanation really clarified it for me. Appreciate the tutorial Sol !!
Well hope it helps for the future mate! As I always say, "it's never to late to teach and old dog new tricks!" Its true! We should never stop leaning! Thanks as always! 😊👍
You are like a magician Sol, now you see it now you don't. I agree it is pretty much the best way to remove tampo's off of a main line. It really doesn't take that long that's for sure, I don't know what it is but green seems to do the job better than other colors for me.
I am one that think any tampo is to much on cool looking cars ... this is a good tip for others to try thanx for sharing Sol ... (now could you check your e-mail please)
This was very helpful 👍👍 I have lots of cars that need a make over. I don’t think those silver lines were all ready there. The process removed the actual paint on the raised surfaces of the car like the door handles and trim.
Thanks for viewing and comment MBX All I can respond to that is I've done 50 or so this way and never renomed any paint and I do all my work unde magnified lighting! Apart from door handles and petrol filler cap and bonnet center line all other panel lines are sunken in, their all in silver to! I didnt rake them out! Didnt need to and their all coloured exactly the same! It's not a metallic silver but a bright starburst silver! Take care! 😊
Sorry about that I had a lot on my mind this morning and just didn't have anything to say at that moment .... The post office is charging people for sevices and not following through and it ant right .... Nice looking Nova .... I wonder if the tie die ones have the silver details hidden underneath them as well .... Thanks for the demonstration in dison vision .too 😂
Mike, just so long as your okay mate! You get a feel for these things! You got my email if ya need to vent! Yes I know the one your on about from the art car series! Who knows?
I just came across your video. It worked well, but to your question about the silver body lines popping out are you remove the tampo, that’s not an artistic design. That’s the orange base paint completely rubbed away and now the bare metal of the casting is showing through. Looks like body lines, but it’s not. It’s been rubbed too much and lost ALL its paint at the “high-spots” of the body. You might already have figured that out (by now I guess).
Try it Gary! Sort out some dodgy stuff or even slightly change the way you peg hunt because you think ah I love the castings but hate the tampos! Now you know what to do! 😎👍
