This Duo Lap was planned in the parking lot. And I'm always So impressed how well this JK Duo handles the river. Thanks for Watching! #tallulahriver #jacksonkayak
I have a lot of experience captaining Cl IV in a Jackson Duo and Hyside Paddlecat. Your demeanor is superb. "Downstream momentum ideed. Duo is a freekin' Momentum Missile!
Wade , excellent work on the river. Great coaching , nice calm voice, heck you were calm. I've paddled a fair bit of C2 slalom. We paddled the Gauley, not nearly as tight as this. Making it look easy isn't always easy. You can go a long way with one person's skill but in the end it takes two.
@@WadeHarrison Good job on your part because Tallulah has about a 75' warm up. She obviously had a good head on her shoulders and not prone to getting overwhelmed, loose hips. Have you tried paddle boarding yet? "You don't need to change rivers, change boats". Enjoy you videos
Awesome man, keep sending it. I saw your reply to mine a while back, but I forgot about it until just now. I've been so busy as a teacher, trying to keep students afloat in this hybrid learning schedule, while at the same time working on my masters just to keep the job, crazy. But anyway, I would like to paddle with you or show you some rivers in Virginia, but I'm nowhere near your level. But could still link you up with people who are on or near your level and maybe tag along. I consider myself a III+ paddler who has run some IVs, like the New River Gorge.
Torso rotation and over all fitness will be the top factors on paddling efficiency and speed I watch a lot of videos of paddlers from different styles like slalom and spirit racing and observed how they place the paddle in the water and body rotation. that helped me a lot.
Well there’s not much can paddle to get up to this one if you have solid roll and boat control this river is surprisingly manageable the big one is a very easy walk and the middle rapids in a creek boat go very well. I would just recommend a solid roll of go there.
Oh I see you said when is it running I misread your comment this was last year during a November release I’m thinking it releases about every weekend I’m November this year?
Has only been Paddling about a year off and on and hardest thing she had been on was like a easy class 3 and had no desire to try this run unless someone would tandem but I agree very was more well rounded then most!
