!!!!!!!THERE MIGHT BE SPOILERS IN THE COMMENTS!!!!!!! Taneda Risa - Wareta Ringo. The ending song of the Shinsekai Yori anime. I DO NOT OWN ANYTHING IN THIS VIDEO. Enjoy the good music! c:
I loved how the episodes just start ! endings are great imo to reflect on what you just saw but openings i mostly skip , its like a 4th wall break at the start that reminds you that you are about to watch a show.
The song is really something special. I watched the first episode of Shinsekai Yori about a year or more ago and heard this song somewhere by accident, which I instantly recognized, even though I only heard it once. Started watching it today seriously and it indeed is a masterpiece O__O
I don't get why people complained about the fact that A-1 Pictures made this anime with a low budget supposedly "because" of SAO. I personally thought that the "simple" style of the artwork and the animation were perfectly coherent with the dark and realistic tone, and it globaly made the anime more "raw", it wouldn't have been better otherwise. I just loved it the way it is, definitely one of my favorite animes, also super great soundtrack ^-^ Peace!
Theodore Joret I do like the art, but I think the reason they complain is mainly because A1 has a great anime like Shinsekai and they waste their budget on crap like SAO. The art did end up fitting the style, but it’s very aggravating to have a story as great as this and knowing A1 didn’t give a crap about this masterpiece because they had a money-maker that’s just generally all around awful.
I understand you point of view and I also love the artstyle of shinsekai yori but you can't deny that some episodes are poorly animated probably due to a lack of money (otherwise this anime is fantastic)
[ Imploze ] Yes, there were issues. Inconsistency was a big problem (And sometimes a good thing), but the animation could have been better with projecting expressions to help develop the weaker characters.
I have a sneaking suspicion that this isnt true at all. Never heard of it. And honestly Shinsekai isnt only made by A-1 pictures. A lot of studio has helped out along the way. And I dont think they're gonna a 24 episode anime series a "low budget." That doesnt make sense. If your anime is gonna last that long, you're gonna give it more than an average budget. Plus the finishing point is that you're sounding like SAO does well so as a result afterwards they give it a high budget. No, the budget is determined in the beginning of the construction and the popularity of the series is unknown until it is actually released the public. If you're talking about more potential in studios eyes, it's obviously From The New World since it has more episodes. But the livelihood of what you're saying is most definitely false because there's no way that the A-1 studios will know that SAO is going to be this popular thus saying they're given a bigger budget, due to popularity, is unrealistic. If they are gonna give a budget, they are give a bigger one to the one running to 2 cours. Plus THIS ANIME IS MADE BEFORE SAO, so there's no way it's due to that. This thing is complete bullshit.
Theodore Joret this was my 3rd anime I ever watched when I finished it I was sad but when I found the full ending song on RU-vid I’ve been listening to this to go to sleep it helps a lot even with personal and sad times

@@avarongames4070 "Aoi" can mean both green and blue, it wasn't until recent times where green got its own name "midori". Is very common in some languages to have the same name for different colours, like how orange used to be called reddish yellow because they didn't have a proper name for that colour until orange fruits came to the West.
@@nidohime6233 I'm sure you know this already, but there is a little word game in Japanese culture where they call green stop-lights "blue". It can be used to derive meaning from something.
I remember I didn't give this show a chance when it first aired. All I recall were these 5 kids messing around and the show being slow as hell. Gave it another chance a few years later, and there's this eeriness about the kids finding stuff, like something's wrong with the world. Those trippy flashbacks didn't help either. It reached a point where the show was being slow, not mildly interesting in the beginning episodes, and episode 8-9 probably turned people away. But I kept watching because I can't understand this damn eeriness coming from this show, then it just kept going and going. It reached a point where I was very captivated, from using psychokinesis to preserve your telomeres, to the implications of death feedback, and the nature of the society our characters live in. All leading to Squealer's grand plan. While it can be seen from far away once you understand what the village's barrier actually does, the case for "Squealer did nothing wrong" is laid bare. You can't forgive what he did. But you can't exactly blame him either.
@@ninjamafia192 We lost Reiko, the 6th one, so quickly that she's often forgotten. And it's the most brutal reflection of the cruelty of the new human society..."removed" just like a dog breeder does with puppies that don't match the standards for the race they are trying to perpetuate. You can maybe understand and even empathize with the situation for "karma demons" and "fiends", but Reiko's and thousands of innocent children before her was unforgivable for me. Their society is rotten to the core.
War is wrong. Slavery is wrong. It's trying to make a right with two wrongs. But really, all you can do is a lesser of two evils. Whether you think it's more evil to continue enslaving people, or for those enslaved people to fight back (killing innocents in the process,) is up to you. It's an incredibly morally gray show.
This anime is definitely a must see for everyone. It is hard to get into at the start but damn when it gets good.. it gets good. such a great existential story. Really makes you think about morality and ethics. Plus the anime is just so beautifully animated for its time. Ah i love this anime.
This is the most underrated anime I have ever watched till now. I don't even know how I have found this anime. It's just kind of randomly, maybe. And I even started to see it randomly. After some long days, I watched a great anime. I am feeling so full. It's worth being alive, even wasting life watching anime or being introverted.
I first heard about Shinsekai yori from my sisters who used to be (are?) hardcore fujoshi. They told me to absolutely NOT watch it because it had what they referred to as "fake yaoi". I read the plot which sounded interesting enough so I started reading the novel and was instantly hooked. By the end it had become possibly my favorite read of all time. Then I saw the anime and was amazed how loyal it was to the novel, how unique and beautiful the art was, how well the music fit in with the scenes, the voice acting, etc. I hold both the novel and anime as true masterpieces and definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a good read/watch. (Also, every time I bring up that "Satoru and Shun truly loved each other!" it sends my sisters running into the other room hahaha)
Nano Here's the english translation. Good thing I keep the bookmark around although I finish it like 3 years ago. shinsekai.cadet-nine.org/category/part-i-season-of-new-leaves/
When something is yaoi or yuri or something just for the gay, then it's just fetishized and shallow with no other context than fluff or smut. "Fake yaoi" should be considered a compliment in this case. (not all yaoi or yuri are bad, I just mean the ones that aim to fetishize homosexual relationships like it's some kind of weird circus show to drool over... if that makes any sense XD
*Spoilers* "Humans always travel in groups of 5." The school made groups of 6 students each, so they expected that on average 1 of each group will be killed.
@@mrsadtree Thanks, I was actually surprised how many people felt the same way while listening to this :D Or maybe they upvoted because they liked the idea. Did you feel that way too?
@@kim15982 I can't remember any issues that they were, no. It had many apple trees, beautiful lawn, and many small gardens next to the sidewalk adjacent to small rural houses though. Somehow this song reminds me of walking alongside them :)
Truly a masterpiece. Stroy is unique. I didn't see any anime like this. Why is it so underrated and unpopular? World and characters showed in this anime are just masterpiece! We have future, but not Sci-fi. We have normal town people, with Cantus. Dark climate in this anime, makes you just hyped and you going through this story with main characters. Anime keeps you in suspense all the 25 episodes. Music suits aura around this world. We have normal characters, that aren't idiots like in every anime now. You can understand mc decisions. I thought it will be random anime, but it exceeded my expectations. It's my favorite anime. The way how author was showing us dark side of the humans made me question: "is the path the world is going in the right direction?" "are 'good' actions are good?" "What does 'good' and 'right' mean?" I wish this anime will get attention it should have. Really good horror/psychological anime. If you didn't watch it, do it now
After every thrilling and exciting episode this ending drops and leaves you with confused emotions. It's always at the end of the episode and it doesn't even feel rushed
+Pinkie Pie For some reason people can't get into the "mature" themes in the anime, but I loved it and the plot twists around the end with the humans. GREAT TEARS WERE SHED
+TheNextMutation when this was released, many who were commenting at the site where I watched, complained about the gay scenes, it's shame people would miss such art just for something so petty.
Alexander D. Montblanc Yu know!!! Like why do they complain a lot on a story that's sooo good. But it's there loss, we experienced something amazing that they can't bc of dumb reasons. if the gay scene was with the 2 girls first, I bet the comment would have been cheering, but they probs left when it was the 2 guys.
TheNextMutation even though it's not what floats my boat, I have absolutely no problems with that stuff on a story that's good in it's own right, and this anime is one of those stories.
Alexander D. Montblanc Really!! I live for yaoi and yuri *drools* Dunz know why but it's intersting, but for shinsekai Yuri it was just luck for it to be in there. \[=^▼^=\]~
The main question of this anime is "Do the ends justify the means" Is it better to proactively ensure the village's safety by doing horrible things such as killing children who are more likely to become dangerous to society, or give them the chance to grow up and risk finding out who it is they eventually become? Sure some of the one's we would have killed might have turned out fine, but what about the one that didn't who would have the power to wipe out our entire civilization? SPOILERS For their weak abilities Saki's sister and teammate are killed. For his disease Shun is killed. For being emotionally unstable (easily saddened/ high level of empathy and hopelessness) Mamoru is killed, and Maria also dies because she loyally went to support him in living outside the barrier (which the adults would have killed her for, for being an anomaly and not following the rules). Saki was almost killed for the same reason as Maria, that and for knowing too much but was only saved bc she was being groomed for leadership. Personally I think that what the adults chose the wrong answer to the main question. It would have been better to allow all the children to live or only take out the ones that were obviously dangerous after therapy or something didn't work. If for every Karmic demon you try a few things to cure their illness before killing them there is an increased likelihood of finding a cure one day. But NO. I believe because the adults had such powerful abilities to control their environment telekinetically, it made them become Obsessive Control freaks who felt it would be okay to control their social environment and even genetics in the same way. It is NOT. The reason for the conflicts were because of fear. The Humans feared those with power and tried to kill them. Those w pk feared and felt ostracized by the humans and so cruelly banned them from humanity. They feared how powerful they themselves and others with abilities were and so created the death of shame. A move that both prevented a lot of crime in their society, but also made them almost defenseless against each other. And so this caused them to fear the future, to fear what their children might become. And so they acted in fear, killed their children and subjected the humans to a fate worse than death. Super depressing I know, but stick with me. This story asks us to deeper about our own society and our own actions and motivations. After doing so I implore you do not be like the people in this town. View your world with a discerning eye but Do Not act out of fear. Have faith, act with kindness and love and give others the benefit of the doubt. And allow yourself to hope that even if your world is dark now, everyone hates you, or you don't know how much longer you can live in this pain, allow yourself to hope that one day things will be better. Life is full of change and it is full of both bad and good. Eventually something good, something worth living for will happen to you, so hope and be alert, look for the good that will eventually come. Show less
Well I just finished this series... I feel empty, and not the "I won't be able to experience this story again!" kind, but the "I just finished this series and I feel sorry for the characters and that's just how life works unfortunately." vibe. It's a cautionary tale of humanity at it's worst, and can totally go down that route. Like, *SPOILERS* Squealer for example got what he totally deserved for what he did to Maria, Mamoru, and all the people he killed, but I can't blame him for doing it either... But I'm still bitter about the force fucking of Maria and Mamoru, and dying off screen.
@@tikkihummerl5113 IIRC maybe OP is referring to how when humans in this world are under stress they'll get a sudden urge to bang due to that baboon DNA splicing thing?
I would be part of the Squealer did nothing wrong gang, except where he killed Maria and Mamoru, and off screen as well. Fuck Squealer for that. Everything else seemed okay but he didn't need to kill them.
@@Odie50000 I mean, from their perspective, Maria would be a huge threat to them when she finds out her child is kidnapped, given how strong her telekinesis potential is. So yeah, they probably assassinated her in her sleep, or even worse they could have used Mamoru as a hostage... fr though it's an absolute tragedy
im obsessed with this ending. ive been obsessed for 4 years. i know every lyric by heart. its such a good anime. the artstyle, the story, everything is so good. i cry like a baby in 2 episodes, one being shuns death ep and the other yakumarus death and i dont even often cry. the only problem is i cant share my obsession with any friend. not physical nor online. nobody heard of shinsekai yori 😔 this is such a 10/10 anime like it has ZERO flaws.
When you finish this anime, you really feel that it was based on an actual novel. Not an endless light novel grind, just a decent book that has an actual ending without s2 hooks, unfinished plot lines or all that garbage that we're quite used to.

This anime is my favorite anime of all time. So beautiful, so haunting... the feeling when you watch it really unmatched by any other anime. When it finishes, I feel really empty inside and that disturbs me deeply, as if a piece of me is missing. Shinsekai Yori is truly a masterpiece. It really blown my mind up until now. I feel sad that it didn't get the recognition and attention it deserves, instead, a mediocre, anime like SOA did??? fuck you people. If only I can erase my memory about this anime again so I can re-watch it again.
Just rewatch it anyway, I plan to do so with my friends, lets you see it all over with a new light you did not have the first time, this often makes the show even better than the first watch!
I am with you but vast majority of people are dumb, they won't even get the plot so let them have their fun by watching Goku shout in transformation for 20 minutes. Befits them.
has someone here watched mushishi? after searching for an anime with vibes like shinsekai yori (also my fav anime) i came across mushishi and its even deeper.. like emotinally and the ideas in it.. currently at episode 7 tho and i wanna watch slowly :)
Funny how I never bothered to listen past the first few seconds of this while watching the show because I couldn't wait to watch the next episode... and now that I finished Shinsekai Yori I'm stuck listening to this on a loop.

Why, do you find it better? Gotta say I don't see any reason to read the manga now that I've seen the Anime already, but the book is something that I'd still be interested in
+Hit'n'Run No, no fuck no. Do NOT read the manga. Manga adaptation is absolute trash, insult to the source material. They change and ruin the plot, and turn int in to yuri fanservice....I will forever be salty about that, considering they fucked up one of my favorite fictional narratives....#fuckthemangait'sshit The novels are indeed amazing, and anime didn't mange capture everything mentioned there, so they are worth a read.
One of the most beautiful songs ever used in an OP/ED. I don't know why A-1 never continued to adapt complex/deep dark works like this one, without doubt their best project
I don't get why people hate Shinsekai Yori. Sure it was weird but that's the good part of the anime. It was very unique from other animes and I actually enjoyed it
It has an 8.5 on MaL. I don't think it's fair to say people hate it. Nothing can be for everyone and SSY is a very mentally taxing anime which some people simply don't enjoy.
Shinsekai Yori is a great show I love with great world building, an unsettling atmosphere, interesting themes, music, art style & horror elements, but it is really easy to drop due its shortcomings of dull characters, awkward pacing, poor exposition & directing and the exposition dump on episode 4 is just unbearable especially the first time through. It must be a testament to the quality of shinsekai is show I got so much more out of thinking about and rewatching it than watching it for the first time. It’s an ambitious and thought provoking story packaged in a shitty exterior and it is really easy to understand why someone wouldn't even bother with it.
One of my top anime. People that don't enjoy it are people that dropped it because there isn't instant action. People that drop it due to boredom are people that usually don't care much about the atmosphere, characters and plot.
He did, but he acted due to the cruelty he faced and the fate the monster rats had thrust upon them. There was honestly nothing else he could have done, minus remain subservient of course. It's difficult to say his decision was right or wrong
Michael Rodrigues It wasn't right or wrong. That was the whole point. The burden was on him because he put himself in a position of power, and initiated all the plans with the Queerats. He did it for the right reasons; but, ironically, enslaved humans in order to achieve his goal of equality. He massacred thousands, which isn't necessarily wrong in his situation, but did he need to abduct infants and raise them? No. This implies he had further plans for expansion and exploitation, and therefore his goals were no longer as pure or justified. And regardless of the situation, murder of thousands is still wrong. Even with freeing his people; there's no way to justify it. He was willing to accept that consequence. But was he still right? Absolutely not! He still used immoral means to obtain his goal. A very human character, at the most.
I'm trying to watch this anime but it took so long for me just to watch 3 episodes. Oppressive authority, conspiracy involving children, helpless parents and worst of all...the presence of cult-like religion. It really puts me off watching each episode because I feel like these children are being exploited and no one can do anything. I've read Doll's Fall and still I find it less disturbing than this. I don't get why. Every happy scene I see, it feels like something horrible is around the corner. Good people are going to punished. It feels that way. Someday I'll finish this anime, but it's going to take a while. Cool ending song, though.
Wtf are you? The most sensitive perso ever. Common dude, if you cant stand this anime due to your predictions in the direction you perceive it to head. Dunno how you enjoy anime in general. Suck it up and watch it. It isnt dark. There's a huge twist where you're like oh shit but it isnt messed up. Well it is, but enough where I consider it to be. I promise.
Anyone else think Shun didn't deserve to die? I don't think the village tried hard enough to save him and stop his powers. He was only 14 but he accepted his death with no problems, I hope I'm not the only one who feels bad for him?
When you consider the fact that karma demon and fiends are a disease since when cantus first starting to appear in their world, yeah I don't think they really can do much to actually stop and save the kid. Maybe they managed some ways to delay it a bit or somewhat, to turn down the destructions it will cause but yeah I don't think they have any cure whatsoever. Not really a mater I think he didn't deserve it and more they couldn't avoid his death.
