Thanh Le was more defensive in this fight because he didn't want to get a broken leg. After the 1st fight, Thanh Le had to walk with a wheelchair due to the damages caused by Tang Kai's kicks.

Faked to the body then came up high with the right for the knock down. Beautiful setup with the faints and going body the entire fight. Clean work by Tang Kai. That ref also has no business in MMA.

Good luck here on in to you Thanh Le. You would've been an even more spectacular champion with longevity had you just been a bit younger. Your fun and effective style requires youth and speed. You have heart and smarts, but the former qualities have slipped by with time. Hopefully still some good fights left in you.

Same thing happened to Volkanovski and Usman when they hit their mid 30s. "Old" age hits hard and very suddenly in this sport especially in the lower weight classes where speed is vital.

It's normal. Watch the Qiu Jinliang fight with Akimoto. He unfairly penalizes specifically chinese fighters. Racists have no business refereeing competitions, yet here they are.

Yeah, it really was that simple that's why I bet on Tang Kai. It's not that Thanh Le isn't formidable, if he were younger he'd probably win, but in his late 30s against another formidable fighter in his prime, you have to pick smart.

😊That is the reason why MMA should set up the rules that all fighters over the age of 35 should not be put in the ring. Even the champion should relinquish the belt once he or she reaches 35 of age . It's not fair the one at this age still needs be defending the belt.

The bouncing was to avoid leg kick by staying flexible off the ground similar to Taekwondo style. Thanh Le got his leg destroyed in the previous fight by eagerly tried to knock out his opponent and planting his feet on the ground to press forward. The referee f*cked up his plan this time badly with the early yellow cards.

@@alldubs55One where a southeast asian wins. Next to viets, myanmar are the worst. A few years ago there was a promotion where a chinese fighter beat another ASEAN country in K1 rules. Angry burmese were cursing chinese and wanting to fight them but problem is they are not even on the same level. Of course I'd like to see more viets, malays and myanmar step up and compete with chinese :)

In the last fight between Mr. Le and Tang, 100%, Mr. Le got robbed by the judges. Mr. Le won the match; however, the judge gave the championship to Mr. Tang, who kept running and running away from the fight, not fighting-Mr. Tang did not get any yellow cards. In this fight, Mr. Le gets fu!ked by the referee; how? To remind people, in the second fight, Mr. Le is running away, not fighting much less than Mr. Tang has done in the first fight, but Le has gotten two yellow cards from the referee. This kind of unfair treatment did a lot of damage to the concentration of Mr. Le. As you know, at this level of fighting, 1/100 of a second of wander-off focus, you will be on the ground, and it's all over; you lose. In conclusion, ONE Championship must apologize to Mr. Le, void this fight, and reschedule the match; otherwise, the name "ONE Championship" should be flushed down the toilet.

Right. Thanh Le is 10 years older, he's trying to reserve his power toward the end of the fight that is 5 rounds long. Last time he was the aggressive one but got lost due to points decision and Tang Kai's hit-and-run tactic, so this time he uses a different strategy to counter his old age, for which Tang Kai figures out and also slow down to reserve his energy as well. But the referee forced Thanh Le to fight forward with yellow cards, which destroyed his strategy and put him in a reactive mode. Too bad, I think Thanh Le would retire after this one because his old age will be his disadvantage from now on.

First match they had was very close. Tangkai was countering the entire time while moving back. And indeed Tang kai landed much more leg kicks , despite they are very close in numbers of pounchs. So I think it's totally reasonable to give that fight to Tang kai

lets tell the ONE management to add a new rule into future fights --- when opponents are throwing punches, the other must stay within reach and can only move his or her heads from side to side as well as his or her body to avoid getting hit and no more stepping back or laterally.
