aaron taylor johnson and brian tyree henry were a combo i didn't know i needed but tangerine and lemon stole the whole show in the bullet train business enquiries: pr@brekkdownmedia.com
Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Tangerine) is criminally under-rated. His problem is that he's too good at playing totally different roles, so people don't even realize they've seen him before. For example, most people don't realize that he was Kick-Ass and Quicksilver.
@BergerMan Yeah, I was going to comment on him being British as well. It's not uncommon for Brits to convincingly play Americans (Andrew Lincoln in The Walking Dead, Hugh Laurie in House, Idris Elba and Dominic West in The Wire, and Cristian Bale in pretty much anything). However, Aaron was just 20 when he played Kick-Ass. The only other Brit I can think of to play an American so young is Tom Holland. And all those guys are much more highly recognized for their talent than Aaron! I think he's one of those people who likely gets more recognition from people within the industry than from us plebs on the outside. As I said, I think his extreme versatility actually works against him in this regard. He's so good at playing completely different roles that you never see him and say, "Oh, that's the guy from _______, ________, and _______." Instead, it's more like, "I like this guy. Why have I never seen him before? What do you mean he was Kick-Ass? No, he wasn't! And that's definitely not Quicksilver! Dude, I just watched Tenet, and that guy definitely wasn't in it!"
Honestly the funniest part of this was Lemon trying to drive the train, and then he says "awh everything's in japanese, there's no episode in japanese what the fuck"
I was literally thinking yesterday I wonder what Logan Lehrman looks like now as an adult, haven't seen him in years. Then I see this kid here and I think he looks a bit like Logan Lehrman but it didn't click for me until they said he looks like a Percy. I was like, no way. 😂
Tangerine is single handedly the most enjoyable and entertaining character I have ever watched in a film, Aaron Taylor Johnson did a phenomenal job playing him
@@jihigh482 As a matter of fact I have watched more films since then, mainly some older ones though, (personally I think they’re just better) a great one I recommend is Lethal Weapon. Nonetheless thank you for the late tip I’m unsure if that was aimed at me in a negative way but regardless I wish you and anyone else reading this comment a pleasant day.
I love how their rudeness is kind of...justified? Like, they're perfectly polite to people who are (apparently) innocent like the trolley lady or The Prince but won't stand for bullshit, as we can see with people like the karen (1:24) or Ladybug
@@cawsomeaolin What I like about that scene is that they both git revenge in a way. Tangerine, in a very metaphorical way, got his revenge on Prince for "killing" Lemon from beyond the Grave. Him being represented by the truck. Lemon on the other hand literally got his revenge by actually hitting her with a truck. In a way, they both got revenge for each other
@@riceball23 (****SPOILERS FOR THE BOOK*****) wait what?? Didn’t Lemon get shot in the head by the Prince? Tangerine finds Lemon’s body in the bathroom with the Prince, and then two minutes later he’s about to shoot him but then Nanao (Ladybug) showed up and broke Tangerine’s neck which is what kills him, right??? Please correct me if I’m wrong, I’d actually be really happy if I was wrong cause it’d mean they were alive LMAO
Lemon and Tangerine were the best part of the movie, I'm still not over Tangerine's death (especially since he never found out that Lemon was still alive)
God I love this movie. I straight up can't understand why so many people hated it, it's like one of the best movies to come out in pandemic/post pandemic era.
I didn't see anyone hating it. Like *anybody*. If you're talking about critics, that's just a few people. Any Joe Schmoe can write their opinion of a movie, so I don't get why anybody cares what the newspaper critics say.
Man Brian Tyree Henry is an American actor who does such a good British accent that I didn’t know he was American until i read about it. Phenomenal. We need a spin off series of Lemon & Tangerine directed by Guy Richie.
Aaron Taylor Johnson looked so good in the big screen, that every time he showed up I went Oh my! such a charismatic presence. tangerine and lemon was such an awesome duo
Aaron Taylor Johnson is such a versatile actor Played tangerine Played a superhero in Avengers Played a vigilante in Kick ass Played royalty in Anna Karenina Played a psycho criminal in Nocturnal Animals And he's gonna be playing Kraven
I need a spin-off about Tangerine and Lemon and their adventures! Please please, they are sooo good! I haven’t seen such great duo for ages! The whole movie is top notch, but these two, especially Tangerine, made me go through shivers and excitement!❤❤❤
I love them so much lmao i think my fave part is when lemon gives the percy sticker to logan lerman's character, and logan lerman was percy jackson in the live action movies :)))
This is probably one of the funniest movies I've watched. Aaron Taylor Johnson and Brian Tyler Henry were so fucking good.. I could listen to them for hours.
The scene where Tangerine says, "If you mention Thomas The Tank Engine one more time, I'm gonna shoot you myself." I could play that line on a loop forever. That, and the cigarette-drag-and-flick strut scene. Epic performance, camera angles, and slowed speed of that scene. Just epic.
This movie was a fucking treat for sore eyes. With all the shit that kept coming out in recent years and a couple prior this movie, it was so refreshing.
I’ve seen that last clip of him with the cigarette so many times in meme format and then I FINALLY watched the movie 😂 happy that was the ender of this
This is the greatest example of reverse American accent where an American actor (Brian) is pulling off a british accent flawlessly. Homie really made use of his time at Yale to the Max.
