Special guests Jacques Muyal, friend of Dizzy Gillespie and legendary Tangier jazz radio host and producer, and Hisham Aidi, professor at Columbia University and Vice President of Dar Gnawa Association, will weave together Tangier’s storied cultural past, the history of jazz in Tangier and its lasting impact, moderated by Jen Rasamimanana, Executive Director of the Tangier American Legation Museum.
International Jazz Day 2024 is presented in partnership with the Ministry of Culture of Morocco and the City of Tangier.
