Tangier to Gibraltar ferry trip on the MS Tanger Express 

I caught this ferry, in reverse, a few years ago. It was a nice gentle introduction to the noise and confusion of Tangier. Great video. Very enjoyable, and full of memories.

I am an ex "Rock ape". Served there when the Border was shut. Many happy memories of the ferries that went back and forth. A vicarious pleasure. Keep it up.

I went on day ferries from Gibraltar to Tangier in 1970 and 1980 when the border between Spain and Gibraltar was closed. The ship was the " mini liner" Mons Calpe and it tossed and pitched in the rough sea. They did crossings every day then, it was the only way to arrive in Gibraltar except by air I think. Love your videos, just wish you would show more of the insides of the ships as well. We've just been Hull to Rotterdam on a monster 60,000 ton ferry, that was a great trip.

Hi I used to live in Gibraltar ,but I never went to Tangiers on the ferry.I flew there in 1970 on my wedding day from Gib.

There's also a train service between Tanger Ville and Tanger Med, but as it wasn't very successful, there aren't may trains. There's also a ferry into the old port of Tanger Ville from the Spanish town of Tarifa, no train connection there, I'm afraid...

I went from Malaga to Gibraltar once. It was raining and I couldn't find a parking place anywhere!

if you ever visit morocco again never pay higher than 5 euros for a taxi, usually you will only pay 2.5 or 3 euros for a 40km trip 27 euros could take you from Tangier to Marrakesh, so always be careful of taxi drivers specially the small taxi drivers and never pay them more than 5 euros unless you're going for a long trip.
