❤ you both look so connected and amazing. I love Ann’s beautiful Ocho embellishments. They look so fluid and natural with this music. Also loved Pablo’s enrosquesitos, they’re especially elegant. Thanks again for another helpful video!

These tips are such great pointers! I have noticed that I am using the rebound way too frequently in general, so even if I had heard before to not use it in the vals, I still end up reaching for it now and then despite myself. Also, I think it is so lovely to see these tango instructors suddenly growing a belly 🤩 I thought the same about the follower on the "LA Tango Academy" videos. And I have to say, it is truly impressive and a great testament to your skill how you manage to dance so well, remain so elegant, and all in high heels, during such a transformation. As if growing a human was not a large enough task, I imagine you now have to rediscover where your axis is with every month that passes!

Yes, thank you for this! This validates my mildly annoyed feeling when I was led many paradas during vals tandas.

Congratulations maestra, you are having a bambino(a) soon. Gracias a miliones for this upload. We do tango vals even in slow waltz. We have discovered that we have been following the principles you have outlined all along on the faster waltzes.

So so great, bravissimi ! So, as a leader, what "basic figures) are left? Ochos, giro (both with back and forward ocho), medio giro, maybe lapiz ? And what about walk (and ochos), are they straight or circular as well? Thank you so much for your precious advices N. from Trieste, Italy

Excellent tips. Many of the dance steps that you two did in the demonstration is still beyond my capabilities....I would have to do an even simpler version of that.

I think the beauty of tango is that you can do an incredibly simple dance with walking, some sort of turn, Ocho and pauses and it's just as good

Hello Tom. Don't get discouraged. Try practicing in slower waltz music. Ochos, molinetes, medio, walks giros etc . Once you have "mastered" the principles as outlined in the dance try it with a faster Viennese waltz and move only on the accented ones and fours. Btw, on slower waltz my wife and I do the paradas without decorations. Ochos on the 1's and 4's, And because it's slow waltz, we do lapices which we don't do on faster waltz. It's fun, try it. Cheers

Good suggestions, gentlemen, but there are certain things that I cannot do movement wise in the almost five years is my inability to change speeds quickly and those circular movements or coordination. You two may have a regular partner to practice with. I have none. I only can not shift speeds while dancing quickly, so those Medio dance moves are out ( slow...slow..quick quick slow...) and do are lapices dance moves. Worn out ankles and knees. I gave up on the Ocho Cortado. Every lady I try that on goes right thru it and does a front ocho. Finding things that I can do, but even then my joints give out on me, and I lose my balance. And doing just the Tango walk bores the ladies I dance with. They start doing embellishments, which throws me off. I do get compliments, but the best I can be in Tango dancing is mediocre in an open embrace.

Watching the video again, and I still stand by me not being able to do those quick steps Pablo does there. Legs can niw do that without losing my balance
