Wow, I knew you had a girlfriend Charlie but I didn't even know you took the leap. Beautiful wedding, gorgeous wedding gown and attendance dresses. Just so perfect. Take it from someone who's coming up on 28 years with the love of my life. I knew the second I saw him (Nov 6,1989) that I was going to marry him. I even went home from work later that night and broke up with my boyfriend. Unbenounced to me he bought my engagement ring on our first date (Nov. 8th) And he proposed Christmas eve. We were married Nov.10, 1990. Our secret isn't really a secret, it's more to do with common sense and respect for the other's feelings. We're both from very dysfunctional families and we wanted to take a different approach to our lives and decided that when we disagreed or got mad that it was okay to get mad, it's okay to stay mad, it's even okay to go to bed mad, just as long as you look each other in the eyes every night and say "I LOVE YOU". Let me tell you, it's hard work, living with, spending time with and loving someone so much that you sometimes lose yourself, because we are after all human, but we took the time to reflect on our feelings and then when we were ready we talked, just talked. We said we love each other everyday, even when we were mad and that helped us and our children know that it's okay to be mad and everything WILL work it's way back to US. We NEVER had secret arguments, our children saw our anger, sadness, happiness, respect and love for each other and we were never short on the hugs and kisses even with our children. Our life is not perfect, but all-n-all he still takes my breath away, still makes me laugh and still makes my toes curl when he looks me in the eyes and kisses me. He still holds my hand and holds the doors for me. Never stop looking at each other, touching each other, respecting each other or loving each other. Everything else is simple. Yes, she was (in many pictures). I especially love the one of Meryl, Charlie, Tanith and Ben. But the group photo towards the end of the video. She may have been there, maybe I just didn't see her.
