This is just music by apara gandharvas, who played for the gods, and the concert happened on earth where a few lucky people witnessed it and, through someone's great service of recording and digitizing it, we normal humans are able to listen. We are no body to praise such gandharva music, but we can express our gratitude for the joy and learning this level of music gives us. Sri SKR sir - Amazing clarity, command over raga, thaala, sahithya and manodharmam Sri MSG sir - Just unstoppable, immeasurable, has no limits whatsoever, has nothing he cannot play, somethings in this concert were like just "how on earth is this even possible"... Gods hands, mind were with MSG all his life... One of the BEST kalyani I have heard (there are many more like that), both while accompanying, and the solo ragam part. Sri Trichy Sankaran sir was just amazing on the percussion. THANK YOU FOR THIS UPLOAD.
SRK and MSG hardly need elaboration of their class in this unworldly rendition. Please pay attention to the percussion by Trichi Sankaran, at least 10 years younger than the other two (he was 25 in 1967!) - and see how he manages both artistes, without the slightest pause, even when they sing swarams at asura speeds! No upa pakkavadhyam! SRK was a master of singing swarams in two speeds in the same sancharam. And Sankaran seems to actually know what SRK is going to do!!

Always felt Tanjore SKR didn't get his due recognition despite being a giant of a musician who was respected for his off beat thinking by co-artists. A Kanyakumari used to say how demanding task it was to play for Tanjore SKR's concert.
