I've had mine for a since mid 90's. May have to get another engine. These typically have the D650 engine which is almost impossible now to get engine parts for. Thinking about putting in a good used D750 - same mounting. Oil pan may have to be swapped on 4WD tractors and maybe some other minor parts. Great little tractor.
Yes it is, I’m lucky. But I don’t know anything about these things. I have a rock box and mower that’s it. I believe it’s got the current modern pro rotation. Would like to get a brush hog mower. Don’t even have a Manuel. Is there a way to check the serial number to find the year built? Thank you
@@homesteadmike1120 I'm in San Antonio Texas. I just got a non running B-8200 with loader for $300, has decent sheet metal. I have another running D-950 motor so I know I can get the B8200 to work, but I've not really looked at why it won't start, these motors are not hard to rebuild. I also have an L275 with loader that needs an overhaul - I'm waiting for a new D-1302A cylinder head for it. The 19 hp D-950 can actually swap into a B6100. I have a 4wd B8200 with loader and stuck motor ( left outside with no cover on vertical exhaust ) and a couple L275s that could be rebuilt.
@@homesteadmike1120 Just keep an eye on Facebook Marketplace and Craigs List. I have a C/L alert. I think the B6100 can use any of the 70 mm stroke series motors without making adapter plates.
@@homesteadmike1120 I got a 21 hp 3 cylinder Kubota recently, a motor that's still in production. I believe it could be adapted to the B6100, which uses a steel adapter plate. Kubota sold these motors to many manufacturers and as they adapt to all sorts of equipment, they can often adapt to other Kubota tractors.
