Now THIS is the real spirit of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal. This is classic Tank, and it still sounds as good today as it ever did. I'd listen to a million NWOBHM bands first before I'd listen to any newer stuff. When it comes to defining the word "timeless", the NWOBHM is simplicity defined.
Heard this again at Metallica's show two days ago (it was playing over the speakers before the second warm-up band showed up). Decided to return here. I heard the first song the first time from Sodom's Agent Orange.
One of my all time favourite bands. They never got the press they deserved at the time. Such a great band. I read all the rock and metal mags during the 80s and I rarely seen them getting a mention ffs. Up there with the best of the best for sure. These guys and Raven. NWOBHM heroes.
The first HM Band i have ever seen Live, 09.12.1981, a Wednesday, supporting Motörhead in the Philipshalle/Düsseldorf... Nice to hear them again after decades....
Algy's Tank were one of the earliest and greatest band's of the NWOBHM era. But they were so much more due to Algy's vision for the albums he'd create later. Wakey, Wakey! You've gotta love that opening to Shellshock🤘
hell damm yes awesome little ep gem from one of the best new wave of british heavy metal bands tank, love this band magic 3 piece metal band. love algy ward the singer and base player was a member of the dammed a punk band before these, but here he is a million times better great metal voice too. one of my favourite metal bands too legends. #nwobhmforever 3 gem songs here.
You know it!! I don't know if you were there for the original day like I was, but if you weren't and decided to catch up on all the great tunes that the NWOBHM sent our way. A real time of fierce, energetic DIY attitude that made it's mark for sure!
Ahhh...sounds like lead singer of Waysted...I like Tank...despite never hearing of them till recently...back in the day...this would have been a purchase...

The first song I heard of tank.wonderful racket.saw them support diamond head at Glasgow apollo. Went down like pile of shit but I loved them. Wakey wakey
I have the original E.P. and the vocals sound different here, like a different take? The E.P is rediculously loud aswell, one of loudest records I own :)
Damn straight. Before Metallica and the American scene, the NWOBHM was making big waves that still crash with just as much might today as they did then. The NWOBHM will never get old!
