Turn of River Fire Department, Stamford, CT - Tanker 68
Assistant Chief Bob Morris of the Stamford, CT Fire Department.
Back bumper talk with Assistant Chief Bob Morris about the use of a tank fill check valve and keeping everything you need down low. It was important to design Tanker 68 with the core mission of water supply. Setting up drafting operations takes time and a well thought out apparatus design helps with the speed of establishing and sending water up the line.

I know a volunteer dept. (They haul every drop of water) that has a "water supply officer" on the dept. All he does is sets up the most important and complex part of the fire. Great for a smart experienced member that might not be able to crawl thru a burning trailer house and might be thinking of retiring. Ask him to be the water supply guru.

Did this truck replace the 1987 Mack Superliner/Marion tanker and the 1997 Seagrave pumper?

I, personally, am not a fan of the ladders being on top of a rig.
