@@alexturnbackthearmy1907 you use them situationally. For instance, when diving on an enemy and you need to lose speed so you don’t pancake. Then, don’t use them when running off and dogfighting. Simple. Next time, read the og comment so you know what situation my comment was specifically referring towards.

Real Foxes got taken out of service or passed to the Territorial Army quite quickly, due to them liking to flip over and kill the turret crew if they were heads out. The Ferret which it was supposed to replace actually outlasted it in some units (we certainly still had one when we disbanded in 1992). Fox turrets were later removed and mated to redundant Scorpion chassis' (Scorpion was removed from front line service because its gun had a habit of gassing the crew if fired closed down) to create the CVR(t) Sabre which looks visually almost identical to its sibling the Scimitar. Fox always looked the part but was basically just a top heavy Ferret and a death trap!
@@carlitosskater89 all Ferrets, Fox was just a similar more modern vehicle made to essentially the same requirement (just heavier hitting than a 0.30 cal Browning MG in the turret) and heavily based on experience with its predecessor. Foxes turretless sister the Vixen (some seen fitted with the small FV432's MG turret were actually called the Pole Cat) looks remarkable similar to early open Ferret platforms too, just a bit beefier in proportions. The Mk.5 was an anomaly as it was a dedicated anti-tank platform with Swingfire ATGW's.
Hey Phly, I'll be straight, I dont want your videos much, but I saw your comeback and how you've been uploading since, and its pretty good to see it. I have issues of my own, and seeing you come out with what happened and how much better you seem going back into the flow is honestly pretty inspiring. As an official gaijin content creator and a War Thunder player for over 12 years, I agree with everything you said! The problem is being heard! I understand that war thunder has a formula that traps new players and that gaijin is a company that needs to make a profit! Natural! However, we would also like something that isn't face-to-face combat ALL THE TIME. But I'm still hoping for better days!

Phly just wanna say man, in January my house burned down and then three days later my dog snapped from the stress and attacked and killed one of my cats. I was at rock bottom, and I coasted for a while. Everything has evened out in my life so far, but I was wondering what happened to you a week ago. Our demons may not be the same demons, but I'm happy to know you did good not just for yourself or your wife, but for your kids. sorry for the paragraph but I just wanted to say you uploading again and playing my favorite game has helped bring back some balance in my life. Back when Armored Warfare was good, and looking like it was going to be worthwhile getting into, I went up the recon line and got to the Fox. Man, was that thing fun to drive. It was especially great in urban environments, where you could whip by the end of a street, spotting the enemy for your team, and be out of sight again before they could track and open fire at you.
Welcome back Phly. My current complaint about War Thunder is that they’re taking away the creativity of the players. Seems like every update, there’s a new ‘red zone’ on the map that prevents a player from using sniper positions or strategic maneuvering. Basically Gaiijin wants everyone to go turret to turret regardless of what they’re using.
They are getting overconfident tho. One gremlin shot the cannon on my maus, but it was the last thing he did. Ambushing a maus near wall and not shooting track first was a mistake, and he got splashed all over that poor house for that.

I liked the into subtitles on this one. Not sure if that was AI subtitles with a little editing or what, but I think it was a good use of baked-in subtitles...especially the pancake part!
