only discovered them about two weeks ago, heard them on the radio, they keep playing down&out every day, no complain about that :) great combination of rock and classical touches, full of energy
I can't believe this doesn't have as many views as the bland basic version that someone posted. Who can resist the Director's Cut!!?? This is OFFICIAL!!
I lost my dad when I was 16 from cancer. Was pretty much on my own from then on. I went through a very tough time but thanks to the military and the angel I met who became my wife I was OK. The kid who is cussing me like he's a grown man probably has a nasty home life. I would have never got into arguments with him if I knew he was a kid. I take great pride in being a father. My two teenage sons are great kids as I'm sure you are. Good luck to you.
I agree with you 100%. It's easy for those who have had a "cushy" life to think it's a stupid thing. I attempted it once and had my stomach pumped. If a friend hadn't found me I'd be dead. My life was to the point that it hurt to live. That's a horrible way to exist. Too many people automatically judge suicide as a selfish and weak way out. The only judge that matters is not on this Earth.
Yeah, I have to admit I'm still a kid in some ways. I think that's the key to being happy. You have to hang onto your youth every chance you get. Stay sweet!
I heard this song quite awhile ago and I loved the violin in it, but I keep forgeting the name of it and it took me forever to find it, so im writing the name down so I wont forget this epic song
Ugh! I know. I got to hang out with him when he was on tour and came through Oklahoma...He is always playing at places in Louisville...I love that he is so down to earth and accessible!
Its 2020. Last time i heard this song was when i was 7 because my dad was a metalhead and it was my favorite song. Every time i got in his truck and he asked what music i wanted to hear id say this song because my mom wouldnt let me listen to rock music even though i loved it so much. Im 17 now and learning guitar for the first time, I played percussion in band for three years, i play piano as well. After the divorce i rarely see my dad but i miss him a lot and hope that hes doing well. Oh and also it kjnda backfired on my mom because my room has nothing but rock music and metalcore posters on the walls, i wear nothing but black and my hair covers my eyes.
It might not be the original message but it is an interpretation i had never heard Tantric before this man, cut me a break, I didn't know the backstory and i knew that this could be interpreted as a song about suicide and the self struggle with mental afflictions that alot of people have now or days, you have to admit the lyrics CAN be as such
The whole line up is new (except Hugo...the lead singer)...That's Joe on guitar, Marcus on violin, Kevin (from the band Fuel and now plays for a different band from the same record label) he was there temporarily until they could find their own drummer and they have...His name is Richie...and Erik plays bass.
When this 3rd album (the end begins) came out around this time last year...he already had a new line up of guys (none of which are from days of the new now) The days of the new crew bailed after the 2nd album flopped and their original label dropped em.
i try and i really try to get other people to seek out help. just because your life isn't all the great, there's no reason to off yourself. it's a hard life out there and if you can't handle it in your wee ages, then it will only get worse, and i'm sure a lot of people will miss you. BTW, flm829 this isn't exactly for you anymore, it's also for those people out there contemplating it.
it can be conceived as both, after all it shows the man doing it three times one shot from a gun to the head, hanging himself, slitting his wrist, but it can also be seen as a view inside a suicidal human, after all people who contemplate it often think they are the only ones that see it. but i have to agree with panther above you, its about not committing the act because when you think that its your last option someone is always there
You're welcome. If you ever need to talk about anything give me a shout. Life can be a big old "Shit-Burger" if you let it. It's good to let it out when you need to. Take care.

If you like that you might like Apcocalyptica they are as good as Tantric just because they don't do singing (that's just my opinion) I still love them though.
Such a powerful song to me because I've ben suicidal for 7 horrible years. This is mostly because my parents have been divorced almost all my life. The only comfort I ever find is through romantic lovers. I feel most of my exes are to credit with saving my Life especially my current girlfriend Taylor. I met her in 2010 and even then I was still suffering. before I met her I pondered how I was going to kill myself because I felt unloved and unwanted. She has made me happy since Feburary 2011. I also have an apparent cheating issue when it comes to dating girls. I'm surprised she put up with it for 3 years and we are still together. I don't EVER want my children to go through the same suffering I did in my 20 years of life. I'm greatful Taylor stopped me before it was too late. Life was hard for me growing up. I've tried to keep my spiritual closeness to God intact with prayer. I am a devoted Christian. Sometimes I ponder If I should get married or not. In my Youth I was a common target for bullies (I was only 2-3' tall in 3rd grade) All the songs about suicide have saved my life so I can live a happy adult life. Here are the songs: Suicide Solution" by Ozzy Osbourne "Nutshell" by Alice in Chains (though they are grunge i think) "Fade to Black" by Metallica "Wait and Bleed" by Slipknot (very heavy) "Suicide Note Pt 1 and 2" "Jeremy" by Pearl Jam "Eraser" by NIN "You Know You're Right" by Kurt Cobain "Pain" by Jimmy Eat World "Last Resort" by Papa Roach "Sick Sad Little World" by Incubus "Adam's Song" by popular punks Blink 182 "Numb" by Linkin Park "Suicide is painless" by Marylin Manson "Hold On" by Good Charlotte Beyond the Realms of Death - Judas Priest I Won't See You Tonight (Parts 1 & 2) - Avenged Sevenfold All these songs have saved my life because they were written by my idols
thats a violin not cello, thats really chello dude haha, but I know what you meant, good video i agree, evan longorias go up to bat song.... Grandslam yehaaaa!
When i think of rock, i think of drums, and guitars. Never in a million years did i think a violin would work, i guess its been a million years cause this kicks ass
Thumbs up if you listen to this and Days of The New, but like DOTN even more! Especially their first album! And you don't change the album in your car all year!!
i love this song!!!!! my fav. baseball player uses this song when he comes up to bat!!! that how i know this song!!!! if you dont know who my fav baseball player is... (hint) he is the A.L. rookie of the YEAR on anious vote!
saw this band last year at CPR Fest 12 (a yearly concert we have around here).. and they were one of the better bands there. You should have heard the place when they started to play this song
that violin turns this from a good song, to an AWESOME song. I heard this in my car and went stupid for a moment, finally found out who did this song today. Rocks
I have been trying to find this song for years I remembered the tune but not the lyrics so I would look up rock song about suicide awareness but I never found it till now.. so glad i did.
That is not Travis Meeks singing, and Travis Meeks isn't just the singer for dotn... he IS Days of the New. Meeks fired the whole original line up of dotn after the first album so they got this singer and started this shitty band, but they all left so now this band has a whole new line up but with the same shitty singer. Travis Meeks is still writing/recording/touring under the name Days of the New.
actually thinking about suicide does mean you have a problem and need to get it out. i never once said that they were crazy... by the way, my definition of crazy is someone who is having too much fun, or is delusional and doesn't know what's going on. and yes, suicide is a very important issue and does need attention when someone contemplates suicide. i'm 18 and i too have thought about it, but i am getting it taken care of.
@BlackT0othGrin Not anymore. Guitarist Todd Whitener, bassist Jesse Vest, and drummer Matt Taul were kicked out of Days of the New. They rocked the first two Tantric albums but are not featured on this one. It's a shame because they would have made the album way better IMO. This album is good but, once again IMO, is just in the shadow of the first two albums.
@LaWdOg2500 The video doesn't say anything about things not going your way. Depression is a clinical condition that can happen even if EVERYTHING is going your way. It is something that people struggle with even if there isn't a reason to struggle with it, which is why it is so dangerous, and why so many people don't understand it.
motherrrrrrrrrrr tell your children not ta look my way, tell your children not to hear my words what they mean what they say motherrrrrrrr. Mother can you keep in the dark for life, can you hide em from the real world ooooooooo motherrrrrrrrr. Father gonna take your daughter out tonight gonna show her my worldd o fatherrrrrrrrrrrrrr. that makes two songs this year that have been made about suicide, tho i didn't originally think of this when i heard the song, i thought of a sad love song. Which the edited version has pretty much done i find this both disturbing and yet i think that its good that like disturbed tantric is taking on the issue of suicide
