Welcome back to the vlog everyone! In this weeks episode we continue our explorations of the Serengeti National Park and Grumeti Game Reserve located in the beautiful country of Tanzania. We saw lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, and the black rhino, with only 167 of these creatures inhabiting Tanzania.
While staying in the Grumeti Game Reserve, we were also able to see the anti-poaching unit where one of the dogs demonstrated to us how they use their senses to find poachers (in a fake scenario). This unit exists because of the Grumeti Fund, which is a non-profit organization with goals of carrying out wildlife conservation and community development in the Serengeti of Tanzania. My family and I loved learning about the Grumeti Fund as well as the importance it has on the animals and local community.
