The thing that I like about their relationship is that Tao always sees Elle as a girl no matter what. Tao’s straight. Meaning he’s attracted to girls. Even trans girls, because trans girls are real girls. We should normalize that a cishet person and a trans person (For example: a cishet guy and trans girl, cishet girl and trans male, cishet guy and non-binary AFAB, cishet girl and non-binary AMAB, etc..) can have a relationship that can considerably labeled as straight (or straight passing). That’s why Tao’s allyship is important in the Heartstopper series. :)
