www.fitforafeas... Here is Sloane's last competitive tap solo of her amateur dance career. This was the very last time she performed this solo during the 2016 competitive season. This competition was Rhythm Dance, one that Sloane performed at almost every year that she competed. During this season, Sloane was back representing Premiere Dance, the studio where it all started. She thanks Carla Marques, the owner for everything! She was her first tap teacher that took her skills to a high level. This performance earned Sloane an overall award for the Senior Dancers at this competition.
Another interesting note is that Sloane's ex-boyfriend Eric Allan, one of the best tappers in Toronto choreographed this piece for her. The song is called Apple Tree. He did an excellent job with it.
On a funny note, Sloane had her High School Prom the night before and had maybe 3 hours of sleep! She was so tired that she almost missed this performance! They had to keep calling her to come backstage and almost didn't make it! If you look closely, you will see her tap shoe lace comes undone near the end of the solo. Whenever you are dancing in a competition or performance, you have to ignore any wardrobe malfunctions (that aren't revealing ones) and keep going! That's what Sloane did here and luckily she didn't trip on that lace!
