I’ve grown my hair back out four times and yes it does require patience and you’re not lying about the awkwardness! I’m in that round stage right now and thought I was the only one who felt that way about having shape ! I was telling my husband that same thing. It’s not too rounded though, I still have a tapered look just longer. This is a great video! Subbed :)
I'm so happy to hear the tip on protective styling, I was getting tired of doing my hair everyday I tried doing a 365 challenge this year and let's just say it didn't go well. I can breathe easy knowing its okay to chill.
Really great advice. I’m in the round awkward stage and patience is the hardest. I think I’ve gotten to the point where it’s time for some personality to make it a bit easier to wait till it grows out more.
Perfect advice! I love my tapered cut also and recently went RED! I love it! I've BC'd for the second time and I am learning more this time around than I did 5 years ago!
Excellent tips! I've been contemplating a tapered cut for a while now but wasn't sure if I'd be able to maintain it. I definitely want to shape it because I'm at that awkward round stage. I usually slick it into a high bun or do a wash and go.
lol youre so funny, this video is great! im growing out my shaved sides. i have been natural and grew out a twa 3 yrs ago. but these are still graet tips girl
Absolutely loveeee. I got a tapered cut about 9 months ago. And I really gave up on it all I could do was wash n go and blow dry because if I didn't the top would just fall in a weird way I could never do twist outs or braid outs because the top would just fall to the side and I hated that look. Maybe on day 4 hair I could get it to stand in a shape and by then my curls look a mess. Any advice on that?
It honestly depends on your cut and the texture of your hair....bc my texture is mad curly and thick so it stands on its on. So its a matter of figuring out what style works for you, every style isn't going to work bc of the variety of textures of hair. If a washngo works for you, i would stick with that plus it's much easier to maintain lol
