Ehhhhh... Xerneas is better, and Sonia Yamper is like Zamazenta 2.0, not that Zamazenta is bad, in fact before Yamper it complimented Xerneas well... but hopefully it gets a good grid expansion on top of it. Also heres to hoping no Leon alt... or if they do please please please Dragapult, no more legendaries for him, don't make him a Steven or N... no offense, I just don't agree to him having ALL the dragons, and Steven it's more of he has SOOOO many cool Pokemon he could use, very popular ones too especially Aggron, it's the Hoenn Nidoking/Queen, WHY HASN'T HE GOTTEN IT?! 6 alts in and we finally get a 2nd Pokemon he ACTUALLY uses. Dragapult's in the same boat, and easily my favorite Galar Pokemon, come on DENA pleaaaaaase.
Still waiting on that Paulo Interlude reaction, it's _finally_ getting good. (I mean, take your time tho, I understand life can get busy!) Imo, kinda felt like a breather episode, but I love the subverted expectations with Faba, that was so funny! :D
Honestly I enjoyed that they incorporated a lot of the characters in a fun way, but I do feel they needed a main villain! Like maybe let Faba be a dirtbag, and have him leave for Team Rocket where we can summon him later! Cause like they didn’t really address who the leaker was! I’m pretty sure only Kanto had that interesting boss fight with Giovani and Mega Mewtwo… Each of these Villain Arcs really should have a set climactic final battle of some kind, and they should add a Very Hard and Super Hard of that fight, to actually make some engaging gameplay for the story outside events! Like here it could have easily been a fight against the trainer less rampaging Guzzlord, Nihelego, and Buzwol, with just one more story chapter exposing the leaker and then Giovani reveling in obtaining some Secret Weapon from this ordeal! Still Acerola and Lana were fun and compelling enough, that I put this in the upper tier of Arcs, despite being messy…!
Johto's was pretty cool, it was Giovanni vs Silver and Ethan, Megao Mewtwo Y vs Ho-Oh and Lugia, gen 1 vs gen 2 legendary... "mascot" (since Mewtwo isn't on a box, but ehhh I group it into box mascot legendaries) battle. Unova we also... sort of had... Kyurem vs Kyurem... they just ruined that terribly, and a lot of people want to see the dragons with Hilda, Hilbert, Rosa, and Nate, not N getting ANOTHER ONE, Unova... had so much potential and just sucked. Sinnoh though we did see Giratina, Dialga, and Cresselia vs Palkia and Darkrai, that was neat, creation trio and moon duo, Darkrai the embodiment of chaos itself, heck didn't Cyrus ACTUALLY succeed, albeit briefly?... then power of friendship blah blah blah kicked in.
This is the best villain arc since Johto and the 2nd best overall. It does a great job at featuring almost everyone from the region, has a fun story premise to follow (albeit a quick resolution) and it gave alts to characters we didn't expect them to. I can't decide if my favourite moment is when Hau and Hala are fighting against Blacephalon and Stakataka or if it's Guzma threatening to punt that Aether Grunt. I'm glad this ended up being a Ultra Beast/Aether Grunt arc, there's Rocket Grunts sure but no sign of Giovanni himself which I like. Finally a break from the guy for once.
Hoenn was ok, but yeah not as good as Johto or this... I can't speak for Kalos I still have yet to finish it completely forgot about it, in part 2... units were neat... Unova though yeah just big disappointments on many fronts easily the worst which is painful to say being a unova fan. Glad to hear no Giovanni too, he's cool and all and I know it's setting up rainbow rocket (... or... is it anymore? At 1st it was but now it feels like it's own thing, I think I felt that way starting in Hoenn considering they're joining our side, and are ORAS Maxie and Archie not RS... which honestly sounds like a Villain civil war which would be AMAZING), and I know he's mafia, grunts and inner workings spread all over like mice tunnels in a house for info gathering blah blah blah, but yeah getting sick of seeing him everywhere.
Even if overused I really feel with the part 1 set up we should have gotten two Lusamines. A double, an evil Lusamine that traveled from an Ultra Wormhole, a ditto? idk Also: Ball Guy''s Beast balls suddenly went waaaay up in value. Also also: Retainer Faba alt missed opportunity come on you guys.
... well... yes and no Poce, he's president of Macro Cosmos, but Chairman of the Pokemon League, he just runs the league and events surrounding it, though hey maybe I'm wrong, Looker could've had lunch with the Silph Co president (that'd be hilarious and interesting if they made him a character... give him shiny Electrode, his EX is masterball colors, there did your job for you DENA lol), Lusamine, or the SV... champion that's also a chairman of Paldea's league and I think president of something? I'm sure there's plenty of presidents Looker could've had lunch with hell... maybe all of them, a president get together of all the Pokemon corporations, maybe even King N got a special seat. Well yeah ok... think Galar being mentioned narrows it down, and figured it'd make the most sense, hype him coming to the game even more besides the shadow on the banner... I'm still believing my theory though Looker had a lunch with all the presidents, that sounds more fun. What will they give him though? I mean Coperajah makes the most sense, but another Eternatus? Maybe shiny? Shiny is obtainable... ish... if you missed the event like I did then sadly not, because gamestop sucks at management of events nowadays. Zarude? Wait go back to the shiny comment... curious to ask but does anyone think they could give us shinies NOT in the main series games? Like coming to mind, shiny legendaries, especially mythical legendaries best example, Hoopa, Victini, Meloetta (wait... damn that's still not in the game is it?) Keldeo, Volcanion, Marshadow, Zarude, Meltan and Melmetal? I think that's all the mythicals without shinies in main series games, but then there's also Calyrex and the horses, Cubfu and Urshifu, not to mention the SV legends (well... in general lol).
Probably not happening, since Rose is the last one on the banner, SV has yet to get in the game at all, and the Villain Arc probably ending soon. Arc 1 ended after 2 years, then the VA kicked off soon after and soon after the 3rd anniversary, so for the 5th any we'll probably move into a new and 3rd story arc whatever that may be. Say most likely a Pasio tournament again, but with some other plot running alongside it otherwise it might get boring following the same patterns as arc 1.

Me:... hot damn I still haven't done the Kalos part 2 and Paulo interlude um... whatever number he's on?... doubt anything interesting happens to him, just still setting up his villain twist plot for arc 3? I like him but... just boring and isn't really going anywhere, and where it is going is pretty predictable no reason this couldn't have been just 1 chapter. Hell give him credit though, he's gotten more attention than our MC in the past 2 years, like what just the mini tournament welcoming Ash?

This was pretty good, whoever you think is worse between S/M Lusamine or US/UM Lusamine (they don't hold a candle to manga Lusamine tho, God that woman was BAD) both of them used Guzma as a disposable pawn, and here's Guzma basically saying it's water under the bridge both here and in the trainer histories.
In terms of story telling... yeah I guess weakest, in terms of most dissapointing or upsetting... I'd say Unova, most disappointing in terms of units... also maybe Unova? I can't think of any too bad outside of N Kyurem upsetting me, Hoenns solid, Johto AMAZING, Sinnoh too cool, Kalos great if we rope in the Greninjas also pretty amazing, Kanto... ehhh they're good, solid, maybe hasn't aged well since legendaries were involved in all of the post Kanto ones, but for what they offered then it was cool, and frankly Red kind of carries that torch of legendary status despite not having a legendary Pokemon, he himself is legendary. I'd say Unova was the worst, then this or Kalos, Kanto, Hoenn, and either Johto or Sinnoh depending on who you are is the best.
@@aswin5151 They kind of were that's why I said if we roped them into it (up to you if you do or not I do), as that event would lead into the events of the Kalos VA. Much like shiny Ho-Oh a prelude to Johto arc, Cynthia Giratina prelude to Sinnoh, rerunning Archie and Maxie despite not getting any buffs for Hoenn, even rerunning Lusamine late last month a prelude to the Alola VA. They may or may not be directly involved, but it's a sign of things to come, and meant to hype players. That being said... there was no reason they couldn't have brought in Serena and Calem in the VA in their Neo Champion alts, it was a missed opportunity, like Cynthia was directly involved in the Sinnoh VA, I think Morty pops in in his shiny attire if I recall? Then obviously Maxie and Archie only have their Groudon and Kyogre alts.
@@aswin5151 VA wasn't an event that's a story thing, the event tied into the story is what I'm saying, did you not watch the story from the event? Although sure there are event battles tied to the story, which is how we upgrade the free legendaries, but that's a separate thing. Lusamine was also a separate event, from over a year ago, yet here she is promoting the Alola VA, same Morty Shiny Ho-Oh, that was even more completely unrelated because it had no connection, yet shiny Morty still shows up in the Johto VA. Because again it was promoting it, again same with Cynthia Giratina, and Maxie Archie for Hoenn. Heck same with Ash, he had a whole event where Hoopa brought him to Pasio, but he wasn't obtainable yet, releasing in July last year, only to then almost 2 months later be released for the anniversary. That was 2 completely different events, at a longer period of time separation, yet still tied together. It was a prelude of things to come, that's how games build hype, game making 101, commercializing 101. Like if Neo Hop, Marnie, and Bede show up in the Galar arc despite that being almost 6 months later, wouldn't surprise me, it's the calm before the storm, so then you can wonder well if this amazing thing happened at point A... what is coming at point B and C? Builds suspense and anticipation, especially when the game is constantly datamined to ruin suspense for players. Not that I have anything against data mines personally, just stating from a developer, a story building perspective, that's a mind set.

did not enjoy this one ngl. may be either the worst or the second worse for me, can't decide between this one and kanto's the whole plot is 4 random trainers from each island fight against ultra beast while 4 tapus that are not even the alolan ones team up with them. not more than that. but what i disliked most is how the main "villains" in alola did NOTHING. Lusamine just gets concerned, Guzma appears, says "where is the machine, i'll destroy it" and done, Faba says he'll betray Lusamine at the end of Part 1 then at Part 2 it's because he's going with Lear. oh, but at the end he's back. and finally, as much as I HATE Giovanni being the main character of the VA, this Giovanni is the USUM one, this is, the one that comes from Alola. They took the ENTIRE Kalos VA to set up this VA as "The main goal of Giovanni", then he did not even appear. idk, i feel like we needed another route for this one. maybe lusamine getting either affected by/obsessed with nihilego and go back to Mother Beast form, with Gladion (and for the eleventh time) Lillie, Ellio, Selene (boy, they hate them, pretty sure only Leaf has had less screentime for a MC in its region's VA) and the MC. my ranking remains: Sinnoh > Johto > Hoenn > Unova > Kalos > Kanto/Alola, either of them
... really? Kanto's wasn't that bad, and it was back when the ball was just getting rolling. If anything Kanto and this one are leagues better than Unova, that is easily the worst, both in terms of story and... kind of in terms of alts, at least for N he should not have gotten Kyurem just like he shouldn't have gotten Reshiram. Wait they're not?... well... 1 that's a spoiler I guess (not that i care much), 2 yeah that is kind of stupid. I feel at the very least Tapu Koko and Bulu could've made sense, besides obviously finding the protagonist worthy, Hau makes sense being Hala's grandson, he's retired for the most part, Hau succeeding him and being just as worthy makes sense. Nanu is lazy, doesn't want the job, much like why he isn't in the elite 4, there for his niece Acerola makes sense (also why I'm giving her a pass despite being a ghost trainer that'd never use a Pokemon outside of that type)... No reason Hapu couldn't have Fini, and Olivia Lele, especially with how popular Olivia is, and they current Kahunas with no signs of leaving that job anytime soon. He... doesn't come from Alola, but invades it from another world where he was successful... which yeah is why he should've been here vs the others, he was building Rainbow Rocket (though since Hoenn I think they changed their other minds on that, looking more like a villain civil war if anything). That wouldn't have worked though, because that's a different Lusamine, that's SM Lusamine, where she's chaotic evil, and driven by her madness and desires, while USUM Lusamine is trying to do it for the greater good, but at any cost necessary, like say an evil angel or God, the lawful good villain approach, complete opposites of the spectrum. She despises UBs because they are responsible for her husband's disappearance in USUM, that's a Lusamine that'd never think of joining with those filthy UBs. Lillie I don't think is... necessary and yeah I'm sure they know how much we're sick of her, Steven, and N gettign alts... but yeah no reason Gladion, Ellio, and Selene couldn't get something LITERALLY ANYTHING, hell they're Alola champions... and the most hype and built up thing with these Neo champion alts (despite that meaning NEW and they're the 1ST ALOLA CHAMPIONS) that everyone wanted... WAS NEO CHAMPION ELLIO AND SELENE!!! Like why... Kalos arc had some decent units and pairings, but why has Unova and Alola had such a struggle. Despite my points... I'd still say Kanto is better than Alola, but Alola is easily better than Unova, and Unova is bottom of the barrel, the only plus to that was Colress added to the pool, Hilda Victini was fine, and... while I would rather Hilbert with something else, Genesect him was passible (he SHOULD have gotten HIS Reshiram we KNOW he has, White Kyurem since he just had a Kyurem on hand I guess, AND Genesect easily could've been with Colress or Ghetsis... but mostly Colress, but then Colress wouldn't be in the pool, and being a protagonist mythical legendary makes sense... so it's passable). Story bad, N Kyurem SUPER bad, heck you can't even make an argument for it being a good unit, Hilbert and hilda could have arguments for that if we're comparing arcs based on powerful units, and being arguably the most popular game in the franchise next to gen 2 or 4 deserved MUCH better. Johto>Sinnoh (but ehhh either or, I think that just comes down to personal preference)> Hoenn> Kanto (though... could argue personal preference, room for it wouldn't be surprised if someone said Kanto was better)>Kalos (to be fair I haven't finished story, in part 2... but the units were really good and powerful, starting with Greninjas to build it up, then part 1 got Diantha making rock types one of the best in the game all of a sudden, Shauna solid, and Lysander is solid)>Alola>Unova.
