You know what the best part is? The best part is that what you hear and see in this video is ALL LIVE !!! This is not a music video. This is a live display of their talent! It's fucking amazing.
Western people play the violin like it is something sacred and academically untouchable. Romanians play it like it's just part of Life. And that's their raw power!
@@cyberhaggis I would rather hear this on my radio than taylor swift and the other pop stars! that's why its underrated; because we have to search it out instead of it being played on our radios!

@Ameretat010 I can testify for this. All my cousins self taught musicians, they play multiple instruments. I as a girl was playing football. My father died, he never forgave me for not singing nor playing any instrument 😂🤣 No need to tell you that today I regret it. The only consolations left for me, is dancing till I fall of fatigue 💃😆
I am more willing to believe that a bunch of older, common looking men can make good music, than a bunch of rich, overdressed teenagers. Awesome music!
I keep coming back to listen to this out-of-this-Earth music ..., it is coming straight from the performer's hearts to my hearth - I know it since I feel it!!! What amazes me is the combination of performing band's techniques and playing from the heart..., one needs to be born with it.
Vjekoslav, maybe so! Nice name btw. I know every note by heart but I am not born with a fiddle in my hands therefore i can't play it as funky and magnificent as Taraf!! It seems to be driven by a love hate relationship created in the heavens for simple humans like us to enjoy but never fully understand! Just dance man!!
@@adrianciobanu5856well your right this music is Romanian Turkish influences but it was the Roma gypsies who combined these styles and a musical style was born called Manale .. or in other words Balkan Gypsy music ..
As a western musician I greatly appreciate the music of cultures other than my own. Nevertheless, I had to hear this through several times before I began to comprehend the complex patterns and rhythms of this incredible piece of music or how these fellows could even stay together playing as furiously as they are. I got it figured out! I am now a huge fan of these guys... ...the most amazing musicians I've ever heard in my life. Violins, accordians and even the cimbalom playing at flying speed in perfect unison! ...and they make it look easy and fun. I cannot imagine what it must be like to be this good at anything.
You also have to take their origins in consideration. I am from Serbia, for example, and we have similar kind of etno music to this. Different rythms, paterns, arrangements. For people from other cultures it seems very complicated, but for us it's simply in blood. We grow up with it, just like these guys. They of course had to practice a lot, but it's in their blood.
@@adrianciobanu5856 Serbian music absolutely has influences from other nations, especially from Turkish, but at the same time Turkish music is influenced by Arab. That's all normal. ;)
Could you imagine living forever in paradise dancing underneath the stars to music like this. Living loving and laughing sharing with your neighbor and praising he who so graciously created us. This is where I shall hope to meet you friends
Music like this is what makes life worth living - along with playing, dance, and drink. I thank whatever gods there be for musicians and the rich tapestry of traditional musics found all over the globe, and for the angels who share it with us! ❤️🎼🍷💃🏽💋
Love their music!! Virtuoso on every instrument, and I have a feeling of great joy and hunger for life!!! The piece of my heart is yours Taraf de Haidouks!!! ( The band of outlaws :) what a great name for a band!!! )
Wow! My ears are smiling after listening to 8:58 of blow your face out music! I was on ebay yesterday & buying some CD's when I came across this group. I clicked on the CD,"Band of Gypsies" (Yes, Jimi Hendrix would approve!) mainly because I love Gogol Bordello, cause Gypsy caught my eye. I looked at the CD cover and saw 2 accordians, 2 violins, an upright bass & thought to myself, now this could be pretty entertaining. So I bought it on that evidence alone. What an aural treat! Best buy for sure
I love this incredible video and watch it regularly. Thanks RU-vid for completely ruining it by forcing adverts into it. Musicianship like this deserves better.
I think they were born in the same time by the same mother, wiht the musical instruments in their hands! Otherwise i can’t explain how do they get to such musical camplexity!
They are coming to my city, to the "coordenada music festival". It's not the kind of music I'd normally listen to, but i like it! and i love the violin, can't wait to dance to their songs. Greetings from Mexico!
Hey you all that are still listening to this yet! You know what it would great to see and hear? A concert of them with Andree Rieu! Woooow! I think mister Rieu would be amazed by this simple peoples!
