I'm an experienced mountaineer and outdoorsman. ** Campfire po yan hindi bonfire, it was set in a designated firepit with a windbreak and well controlled. All campsites in Mariveles have designated firepits. This climb was properly coordinated with local officials and park rangers. Only deadwood are used for fuel. Also common sense was of utmost priority. I get where you're coming from and this is a common topic within the outdoor community, but in this case all safety standards were followed. For reference : - Don't start a fire if you're not sure or aware of all protocol - Don't start a fire if the mountain rangers prohibit them. (Mariveles allows this, and most mountains do, always check with local policies) - Always dig a firepit and set a windbreak - Observe proper distance from grasslands - Never start something you can't control (attend a Basic Mountaineering Course if you want to educate yourself) - Never leave a campfire unattended - Put out the campfire before sleeping. - Put out the fire with water/sand/soil/urine - Common sense is key Campfires are essential for heat and can repel most insects, seasoned campers know the importance of a fire and respect its destructive nature as well. FYI din most wild bushfires here in the PH are caused by illegal kaingin, bandits, faulty butane canisters and sometimes irresponsible campers who lack training.

@@MaoToursPH Yes, I agreed with you Sir with respect. But “accidents” happen that what I am saying. And “LEAVE NO TRACE” is our ethics, right? Not everyone is educated by these rules and regulations, as a vlogger and/or influencer or as an experienced mountaineer and outdoorsman we/you should inform the viewers about that by adding a reminder or just a simple message with this video. The vlogger can influence the viewers to do hiking but she should also influence them to follow. Mountaineers shouldn’t just be tourists; they should be the defenders of Philippine mountains. (This is not for you or for me this is for our children and the next generation) As I said Sir I am just a concern citizen I meant no harm. God bless!
