It is approximated that you will see about 3 Elephants after every 1km in Tarangire National park, this is because there is a very high concentration of Elephants in Tarangire, you can also find many other animals and a nice landscape and so it is a good bargain of time. You can actually do a day trip to Tarangire from and return to Arusha.
