Kid had more understanding and read of the situation and nature than the parents did (no offense!). Obvious this kid reads a lot about it or watches nature programs. Keep reading, little dude!
@@jordandoe4833 lol some kids really know their stuff so how about you stop characterizing all kids as ignorant or stupid? Hell, I’m a kid and I know a fair amount of knowledge concerning animals, nature, etc..
At first i was "annoyed" by the kid, then i was like damn that's a clever kid while still being annoyed by the kid, but then being less annoyed by the kid after being like damn that kids got stupid parents.
I couldn't if he would actually hold a tarantula or step on it. The kid seems to love animals like me but you never know. I know he's young but he seems to enjoy Animals.
@@joserobertocarmona3285 I’ve even stung by a executioner wasp and I didn’t fall crying……….it hurt and all but I didn’t scream or anything….you were saying? 💀💀💀💀
@@psychopat4402 I will check it out. Do you know how many wasps we have in Costa Rica, I don't believe you took that sting. But well, if it is to be true, then why aren't you posting real videos man.
kid knows more then the dad,.he's right the hawk will drag the spider to its den/nest lay one single egg wait a few days for it to hatch and the babies will feed on the tarantula. sad but that's what happens. well done kid
Imagine being this guy, so adamant that the wasp is "laying eggs" when in fact it was so obviously only trying to sting, and getting shown up by his 10 year old kid who is actually correct. The wasp does not lay the egg (yes, only a SINGLE egg) until after it drags the spider to the spider's den. Listen to your kids, parents. They know more than you think.
@@cowafungus8104 that’s a hell of a way to refer to kids…..complete morons you say? Well in my experience, adults are morons because they’re stupid and kids are either very smart or just ignorant because they’re kids……I personally know way more than my parents do I mean for crying out loud I discovered I had epilepsy myself and my parents didn’t believe me, well I go see a neurologist and I HAVE EPILEPSY 💀💀💀……oh and uh KID here.
I like how the kid shows more understanding to the situation it feels like the parents didn't really believe what he was talking about and I hate when parents don't believe their kids
Lol dad wanted to be right so bad but his kid really done showed him up. I always listen to my daughter when she provides information because I know she may know something I don't.
I remember I got stung by one of these things when I was only ten. Absolutely excruciating and unbearably painful. Went way past my pain threshold, probably the most painful experiences of my life other than maybe the time I got stung by a box jelly
@@samanthamendel7555 thanks. Yeah the ones in Australia are the super deadly ones you hear about, but the box jellies in Hawaii aren’t as lethal. You can still die from it if you get it all over or have preexisting health problems, but for most people it’s just extremely painful. Fortunately I only got one tendril warped around my foot an leg. You certainly feel like you are dying tho lol. And part of you is wishing you would
The father is completely wrong. They do not lay eggs until they drag the prey into its burrow, they then lay one egg and cover the burrow up. Dad needs to stop being a knowitall and recognize their kid is far more aware of how these creatures interact. Good job to the kid for being up on the entymology of the material.
You're right. When I was a kid I knew by default the Earth is flat and is stationary, cause it's OBVIOUS, but my parents kept cramming me with bullshit about spinning balls until I believed it, to later come back to reality.
That was my version of chilling after school or a hard mental event. Heck, it still is. I liked the cartoons and all, but my first choices were things like animal planet, nat geo, military history channel and so on. God I’m such a nerd lol. But seriously, who didn’t watch monster bug wars?
you know for damn sure Karen would unload a can of Aquanet on that tarantula if it skittered across her living room floor. Watching it get fucked up shes acting all sad lol
First kid: 🧐 “hmm yes so the tarantula hawk will paralyse the tarantula then once successful take it back to its best to lay its eggs.” Second kid: “tarantula fuzzy” 😮
wow what a awesome family learning event , the boy seems to be pretty well informed and interested . stuff like this is what points us in the directions we go . get out side and discover !
*stinger comes out* Young informed child: it’s trying to sting it again Overconfident non informed adult: no I guarantee you it’s trying to lay it’s eggs
For some reason, until i saw the kid so close to them for scale, my brain registered the wasp as being about the size of like a rat and I didn't even question it
Because it contains a stupid ass tarantula hawk paralyzing my favorite fucking creature and the fucking family is just standing there as the tarantula suffers
Wow, that's pretty amazing. I had no idea that there was anything remotely called a "Tarantula Hawk''. Great footage and I love hearing the kids in the background - so knowledgeable.
The kid is smarter than the dude recording it takes 2 seconds for the tarantula to get paralyzed. The reason tarantulas don't fight before the sting is because the wasp release pheromones in the air that confuses it
Saw this happen with a wolf spider once. The wolf spider was already incapacitated and the hawk was having a hard time dragging the spider. Two days ago I came upon a small centipede that a small tarantula had bitten and definitely won the battle. Looked up that scenario and the centipede usually won. Nature is harsh but very interesting and beautiful too.
That's the most dad thing I've ever heard. "I GUARANTEE she's trying to lay the eggs... noooo, no she's still stinging called it guys totally called it" and the mom kills me LOL, "Well I'm not happy about it! Give the thing some space for god's sake--" Also, the tarantula hawk was probably stinging repeatedly so she could see how much venom it would take to down the spider without overdoing it, since she wants to paralyze, not kill, and also not waste the venom
The parent was so wrong thruout the whole video. I love how the child had patience and understanding of the situation. This is what what expands their minds. He obviously had some knowledge of them and got to see it in action. Instead of argueing with the kid maybe next time what and see what happens and maybe don't discredit your child so much, you never know what they know
When I was around the age of these kids, I stepped on a tarantula hawk. The pain was indescribable! I couldn't feel my leg and I got dizzy. My parents didn't really care as "it was just a bug bite". I am now 38 and I still have the "tattoo" left by the dark thick poison. On the next day, I was perfectly fine (still hurting tough)! But then I stepped on a nest of wasps while climbing a tree. Got 12 stings and had to jump from the tree (4m high). Let's just say I wasn't a very lucky kid... hahaha! I have other stories with much bigger stuff!
Fun fact: tarantula hawks inject enough venom for the tarantula to move a little and when they get tired and lazy they just leave the spider there and force it to lay its eggs by sting it repeatedly
I will never forgot the time I was with my aunt on a walk and a tarantula hawk landed on my leg. I pushed it off my leg and kept stomping on it till it was dead 😂😅
You can hear in the kid's final "yeah" that he already knows they won't be coming back to it. And his mum definitely sounded like the sort to say some bs 'need to get ready for school tomorrow ' excuse for why they're getting back in the car! His intelligence will see him fine when he's older though.
C'mon buddy, we all love an underdog but the kid just happened to watch some videos about this insect on his cellphone, that dad paid for, in his house, that dad paid for, while dad was at work, too busy to watch 8 million internet videos. No, dad is most certainly smarter than the child, 99.99% of the time, until they're 35-40 yrs old.
I live in rural western Colorado and sometimes find tarantula hawks outside, they actually sound pretty weird when they fly around. Make a really weird buzzing clicking sound.
This was better than National geographic! Thanks for sharing the video and your brilliant comments. Also... Remember parents, kids are smart. They pay attention more than we give them credit! I know this after teaching most of my life. Cheers!
This was a great video!!! I loved the whole process being in it's natural environment! Great school project if ever needed!! Let's see what else u can capture where you are!😋
The tarantula is actually a male, you can tell by the tiny abdomen, the over side things in front of its face that act as "fangs". And the way it walks/stands
