Same review. I recommend you watch at 1.25 or 1.5 speed if you can hear what they are saying. Worth the watch if you wanna kill time with a pseudo scifi

Absolutely AGREE . CGI _has_ its place , but ONLY if its needed to tell the story . It was used here in just the right proportion to fill in where it was needed , without overwhelming things . The UFO over the house holds up pretty well , I think !

There are huge explosions in the first 1 & 1/2 minutes & a maniacal chase immediately after.😆

And no CGI because it was the 90s on television.

True, as far as monsters go the humans in this movie weren't too ugly.

That's what pulled it off. Actors were good with decent script. No dumb catch phrases.

I like how they suggested things in some of the fight scenes , without depicting them GRAPHICALLY . The cut-away edits were very tight 👍.

I turn 70 next month and first watched it in the early 1960s. Day the Earth Stood Still and Them , 1st and 2nd on my favorite sci-fi movies list. In online games I play my game name is or was Klaatu.

The Day the Earth Stood Still was MY first , as a kid - and I was HOOKED !! I re-watched it here just a couple of years ago , and if you go with it - it STILL holds up pretty WELL ! In some ways it helped steer me toward a lifelong love for GOOD Sci-Fi !

Love that movie too, but don't recall Dabney Coleman in it.

@@AndyHoke He was the government field supervisor for the agents trying to trap Tom Hanks. My favorite scene is when he is telling one of his field agents to pull the tooth with possible secret microfilm. Agent, "which tooth?" Dabney replies, "yeah....better pull em all "

I am going to tell you the truth. I got bored and went to Starbucks, came back yet the movie was still going, while enjoying my coffee I changed the movie to 1000000 years before our time. Nostalgy came over me seeing Raquel Welch again.

Yes, family X files. Well done and thrilling suspense. Also; the movie; "They Live" John Carpenter film is a good one along these kind of lines. Highly recommended. Classic John Carpenter vehicle and with effects.
