The best way I found to farm prophecies is get to level 8 cof, put the double reward and double completion purple lenses in and just reroll for what you need at the time. I usually get 50+ exalted weapons from 1 prophecy fulfilled 4 times (like killing the architect) or 16 uniques froom 1 prophecy fulfilled 4 times (like killing amber elementals in any tier of lightless arbor). It is so easy to farm gear (and LP uniques) this way it is insane. At level 9 cof, you can add the more exalted/unique lenses to make it better.
not even even finding the base gear for my build xD don't know what to do anymore. can only just watch so many videos on loot/crafting but if not even a decent base drops after like 2 days it kills the fun....
I'm.at 800 at the moment I can't say I'm seeing ANY difference in unique drops or lp drops ... at 800 you get the exact same amount as if your doing a normal monolith at least that is how it feels .
Monoliths, specifically empowered (level 100) monoliths with high corruption. You can target specific gear slots in each monolith and as corruption increases you drop higher rarity gear. If you go circle of fortune it gets even better
the main tip vs lagon in mononith is always save your mobility skill for his ice breath or that ice circle spell he does. Capping your cold resist, physical resist and lightning res is very important. Overall, you need around 2000-2500 base hp to tank his hits assuming you avoid his ice breath and ice circle spell. The main threat spell in my opinion is his tentacle strike spell. that spell is tricky because it has high critical chance, so you can take 1000 damage or take immediate 2000+ damage. the difference is life & death.
btw theres a node on the skill tree that makes your chaos bolts auto cast bone curse so you dont need bone curse on your hotkeys. id replace it with spirit plague. its a great DOT skill
I think one thing you mentioned is not correct, the uniques which drop in the timeline echoes can not only be found there. They can drop everywhere, but to target farm you can only get them from this timeline.
some uniques are directly tied to bosses though, echo bosses or dungeon bosses etc they cant drop randomly though you can still make them with a rune of ascendance

I have been target farming a helm in the right monolith at level 100. It says it is a common drop. I have never seen it drop. I have tried and tried and tried and I am about to give up.
I'm only looking for normal/exalted items, my build doesn't need specific uniques, if so, does corruption matter ? Second question, shield of the mountain for example drop only from the dungeon, if I get prophecy that drops unique shield, I can't get it ?
Yes, corruption level matter I think higer corruption for higher tier 7 exalted chance or even double or even triple exalted stats (e.g. exalted healing hands+exalted attunement)
It's kinda sad how many of the uniqes are quite specific and don't work with builds. Hammerdin for example has not really any reason to find a unique one hander weapon. Something the developer needs to improve on.
well if you find LP 3 or 4 if you that lucky, then it will still be better just to transform the stats over from your good exalted even tho the uniqes are "bad"
Sorry but Uniques are supposed to be preferable in CERTAIN situations, not every slot and every build. I don’t want to play D3 set builds only because (which is why they added LON) or D4 (crap loot) Right now the loot in the game feels pretty fun, especially for a 1.0 release.
You should mention that uniques from COF doesnt include boss specific drops. I feel like its not mentioned properly or is done in a unclear way by anyone. If you spam unique relics from COF you will never ever get Heart of Uhkeiros for example.
